I'm not the only one who thinks that Bioware is going to attempt to pull off a few Mass Effect games that are post reaper invasion right? I mean yeah, the endings really do suck. Though with a few changes here and there it could open up whole new possibilities with so called "sequels" that take place after Shepard's trilogy.
I'm guessing that Earth turns into one giant intergalactic hub world, with the whole fleet there and all. I can already picture some conflict with different alien races that try to settle down on Earth. Collapse of some governments can lead to a sharp rise in crime and anarchy. I was also thinking that it would be sort of cool if husks become the Mass Effect equivalent of Firefly's reavers, if they were to somehow become operational again. I mean now that I think about it, they could actually attempt to continue shepard's story. The reaper trilogy is over, but his/her story still continues on with new battles to be won and whatnot. I guess that's just wishful thinking on my part though.
Anyways, assuming that people eventually figure out how to effectively travel across the galaxy without the help of mass relays in some decades/centuries or so. What do you think bioware can do with the universe that takes place after the reaper invasion? Because honestly, prequels can be interesting. Though we all know what's ultimately going to happen in the end. It would be more interesting if we were able to venture into the unkown in my opinion.
Doesn't really seem logical to continue the franchise with just prequels.

There are no plans to continue the franchise. There is no interest in continuing the franchise. The lack of sequel or prequel setup is purposeful. This is it. The end of the line. The death of the universe. Full stop. Bioware has been clear that this is it.

The end, GoblinSapper? No. This is simply the beginning...
EA will never let it die.
But hey if they do end it here: at least Mass Effect went down with dignity instead of being milked to extinction by a money grabbing Publisher (Halo 4 anyone? I can't believe I use to like this series...)
