.... is by concluding its fake.

now, I actually dont think it is. I think thats the way bioware actually wanted to wrap things up for us unfortunately. but the general sense on the boards now just seems to be, well, a sort of denial. like the endings are so bad, the only acceptable explanation is that, well, theyre NOT the endings.

just an observation.

I cannot accept that my Shepard would ever bow to some genocidal little ****er's demands.
That her crew would just abandon her. Joker? Liara? Kaidan? Garrus? They would sooner die.

This is Indoctrination, plain and simple. I don't care if BioWare says it's real. It cannot be.

i want to believe that they'll make dlc and will release it in the meantime (us-uk-eu-asia) so all me3 players will see the actual end at the same time.

ME3 deserves this kinda impact

While my Shep is Sheploo, not Femshep, I find myself agreeing with you constantly.

This is true. Which means the ending for the trilogy is wrong. Not that it's good or bad, just wrong. Bioware violated the writer-reader contract, so the reader's only options are to either create an ending for themselves or re-frame (shoehorn) the ending back into the narrative so it somehow fits. We see this in the patently absurd grasping-at-straws attempt to conclude "it was all just a dream."

My personal solution is to rip the ending in half and send it back to Bioware for revision.

Hey Sheploo, ManShep, FemShep, we've all been done over badly here.

Didn't the game end with Shep and Anderson staring at earth. For "some reason" my PS3 "turns off" after that moment.

Such power failures seem to be common among the fanbase...

Funny how that works.  I get the feeling that my PC deleted the data past that point.

All kidding aside, the OP is probably right.  No matter what we come up with, or how much we deny it, we all saw what happened.  That's what we're left with, and there is next to no chance we'll get it changed.  That said, until Bioware flat out tells us that it'll never change, I fully support keeping this going.

Agreed.  As someone else pointed out, after Harbinger's beam attack, Shepard is no longer in armor.  Now unless Harbinger's beam can precisely remove armor, leaving all clothing underneath completely intact, this was all an indoctrination attempt.

10 to 1 odds say they play off the whole ending as some April fool's joke.

I have faith that Bioware will see how hurt everyone is and maybe make us dlc for it..... if not then well my power button works...:(

It's either Fake or Sheps dead before the conduit teleporter. It's mentioned the Reapers are Salvation of the Organics, so what if when organics are killed they are assimilated into reapers, but keep their "mind" intact and don't even realize they are dead. Reapers won and the sequence you see it's just Sheps mind creating what could have happened.

That an interpretation like this is made plausible immediately upon completing the game is itself a bit of a plus for the vanilla ending.
