If not for the music, I probably would be hateful about the ending like about everyone else here.

Instead, I'm not. In fact, it made me weep for the loss of Helena Shepard. No other video game ever did that.

Agreed. I was very worried at the news of changing composers, but the second they dropped Clint Mansell's name I knew not to worry.

Thank Clint.

I thought you were going to put Requiem for a dream at the end just to troll everyone, but I'm glad you proved me wrong.

The soundtrack was consistently awesome. Gotta give them credit for that.

The ending may have sucked, my 120+ hours of my life may have be wasted, my money may have been wasted....

but at least the music was cool :/

The music is top notch, made the game seem even more epic! I'm glad I'm not the only one who cried at the ending as well.

He made the ending worth it, in my opinion. The music helped greatly with it.
As the title of the song is...
An end, once and for all.

Hey, 99.9% of the Mass Effect series was the best game I have ever played in my life.  The music was a big part in that. (I loved the Credits music of ME1). I also feel disgusted at the whole series because of the ending, but when I listen to the music, all I can remember are the good parts.  Until DLC is released (hope) I just imagine Shep bleeds out after Anderson dies, while looking at the Earth.  It makes it bearable for the moment.

There is a slight problem here though. I knew he wouldn't be writing all the songs, but he only wrote the song playing when Shepard left earth called ... Leaving Earth. And he co-wrote the aptly called An End Once and For All which is really just a variation of the theme in Leaving Earth.

The other 23 tracks are awesome as well, but it's not Clint Mansell. He did the signature piece(s) though.

Exactly, he probably didn't do much but will get all the credit. Sam Hulick is the ME music vet. Too bad Jack Wall left.

I think ME3 was in itself an incredible aural feast! From the blaring hell-horns of the Reapers, the incredible bassy tones to the satisfying "zaps" and "woops" of the weaponry (most notably the Geth sniper rifle); everything sounded fantastic.
The music emphasized those truely dramatic moments with real emotion.

I have the sound track on my iPod and each time I listen to it, I'm nostalgic, but also very melancholic for what it now represents. A sour end to ME3.
It's sad that Clint Mansell's music now reminds me of this.

There was a lot of tunes not in the final album. I kinda wanted the thumping bass of Purgatory to be honest lol

I'm sorry Bioware wasted such a wonderful piece of music that An End Once and for all. Some many different feelings being invoked by one simple piece of music all to wasted on endings that terrible and don't do anything to match it.
