Lost connection to ME3 Server

"You have lost your connection to the Mass Effect 3 Server. You must connect again to access online features of the title"

I have been getting this A LOT for the past hour.

It has happened while I was:
  • Adding points to characters
  • Picking weapons
  • Waiting for other players to get ready in lobby
  • In-game with 4 others
  • In-game solo
I've been playing the game intensively since launch and had no such problems - til now.
I'm wondering if this is ME3 or Origin related. Anyone else experiencing the same issue?

Happens to me as well. EA gotta do something about this. My internet connection is decent and never goes down when i get that message. I had it on wave 10 silver just now...

I've been getting this non-stop since yesterday. The first week I had almost no problems, but now I'm lucky if I manage to make it all the way through 1 out of every 10 games I try.

Yeah, this is really starting to make my balls ache. This has happened three times in the last few hours to me - it's highly irritating when you're almost through a match and the EAServers boot you with zero reward.

Yeah same here i was taking a break from the single player and was trying out multi for the first time today...i still have not been in a match :P 3 or 4 times in a row prior to the match even starting....very annoying indeed...:(

Does anyone know what the cause is? This keeps happening to me too and I swear I've sacrificed about three levels due to being kicked out...plus it's unfair to my teammates when we're at the extraction zone and I suddenly poof out...

Is anybody having disconnect issues to games that aren't silver? can we confirm other difficulties please just to be sure. Going to try bronze and see if the problem is still there.

I have only ever played bronze, and i've allways had those issues, never been able to play a whole match the entire time i've had this game(a week or so)

I played a few days ago fine, no disconnection issues at all, it's been the past few days i've experienced this issue.

I get these pretty much everytime I'm lobby leader/hosting the game.

I've yet to encounter a game that last longer than 30 seconds before this highly annoying message pops up and end my game session.

Searched the forums high and low for a solution, toyed around with my network settings (router/firewall ports) but so far joining games goes flawless but hosting is not an option for me right now :(

Same here, no problems until couple of days ago. After that, I haven't been able to join a single game. Singleplayer works fine, no connection problems (to check DLC content at the start of the game). MP launches fine, but EACH time I press "search" on the Quick Match -page, ME3 just about hangs (or then starts to play 5-10 secs per frame), I can't even press the Cancel button. After about a minute or so, it shows that error message and drops me back to the main game menu (not multiplayer menu, the main menu). Rinse and repeat, can't play MP at all. 

EDIT: 'net connection stays up, it is not a question of that. Origin stays connected, each IM and Steam stay connected, downloads (if any) are not cancelled.

 yeah, same here :( today was really bad day. some games go without any problems but every now and then it just disconnects from server, without any other internet problems. i just had 3 disconnects in a row so it became really anoying

Anyone noticing patterns in the disconnects? Wave progression or elapsed time in a match?

Had this happen 2x in a row in the wee hours of Sunday morning, both on wave 10. All enemies/squadmates freeze up, people on mics are asking what's going on while the loading icon spins in the upper left corner, and then we're told connection to the game is lost.

Really frustrating to see that much progress go out the window.

no pattern for me. sometimes 10mins, sometimes 20, sometimes vawe 4, sometimes 9, sometimes bronze challenge, sometimes silver...

No pattern for me. Sometimes I simply can't connect to the server when I start the game, or I'll be working through a multiplayer game and the thing just tosses me out on a lost connection. Really frustrating. I've uploaded the patch through Origin, as well, and that didn't seem to do anything.

It's all over the map for me. I'll have good days where I don't disconnect at all, then I'll have a day like today where I can't make it past wave 6.

It constantly happens for me...Usually by wave 3 is when I end up losing connection. It's extremely aggravating, since I want to enjoy the multiplayer experience, but if this keeps up...

I decided to give EA and Bioware the benefit of the doubt when I chose to purchase ME3. I even overlooked the Day 1 DLC, but this...?

You should have at least anticipated the amount of people willing to play multiplayer, and had your servers ready...this is downright unacceptable.

Yeah this error essentially just wasted 2 hours for me. =/

Can we get some compensation for these bugs please?
I'd like a Spectre pack for each time this has happened. Which is 3 times for me so far.

I noticed a pattern with mine. Consistently around the 9th/10th wave, of varying difficulties. My connection shall be lost. Prior to the 9th/10th wave though I experience no lag or connectivity issues whatsoever. There is no correlation between difficulty or time of day (and by extension server traffic).

Considering you have to connect to their servers every time you start the game, they should really add important or pertinent info like "Our servers are experiencing difficulty, we are working on a solution" or something, instead of only trying to advertise their DLC.

Or you know, a post in their official forums recognizing that there even is a problem.

I have YET to find any post anywhere from a bioware employee stating that they know there is an issue with connection and are working on it.

I got disconnected, the message I got said it was because I logged into the account at another computer.....

Got ahold of Origin Tech support, said it was a temp issue and to try again in 2-3 hrs

Yes, it usually is temporary, however it seems to occur daily, so if its consistent in that manner with no end in sight (no response anywhere that they even know or care this is happening) can it really be called temporary? Hmmm, philosophy....
