I thought they were all great. I can't think of one character that sounded flat or off. Kudos to all of them!

My vote goes to Steve Valentine as Alistair. So many of the voice actors did such a great job, but to be that consistently stellar over such a sheer amount of dialogue is indicative of true talent.

Aye, the guy has so much talent - check out his Wiki page.

This dude invented the word, 'average'.

The voicework in this game is outstanding. Really haven't been annoyed by any voice... save for maybe the druggy First Enchanter (the old guy) I fell asleep when he was talking.

I checked the thread but couldn't find Sten anywhere, surprising. Ofcourse he isn't a chatty character but what little he says shows his point of view perfectly and sounds so perfectly heavy. He is unique in DOA since everyone else in this world is a walking chatterbox and he can answer in single words, like the way he growls "No." I looked up the voice actor doing Sten, Mark Hildreth, he's only 30 years old. Talented guy for sure.

Leliana's voice (Corinne Kempa) is also a favourite. So sexy. It's not an exaggerated super-french accent (wich would be the obvious choice and unsexy) but subtle and characteristic with that slight lisp. I've listened to all her stories lol

I really loved Leliana's voice and for some odd reason I found Gorim very sexy in the Dwarf Noble origin.

My favorite is Simon Templeman as Loghain. Every time he talks I can't help but think of Kain, and that is a good thing.

Arl Rendon Howe - He actually sounds evil, something i've been trying to sound like for a while now. So he's been my inspiration to achieve "Evil status".

Alistair - I was happily surprised when i found out Steve Valentine was in DA:O, he did a great job at his witty comments and sarcasm.

Leliena - :o:kissing:...
Loghain - Brilliant character in general, even though i would refuse him as a companion.
In fact, come to think of it, they all deserve a worthy mention.

i really liked Morrigan's VO... it kinda seems like the folks at Bioware told Claudia Black this: "You know how played Aeryn Sun... do that again." This is NOT a BAD thing :D

Also Alistair and Shale are both close seconds...

The rest of the voice work is excellent... even Leliana... though after a certain point I realized that as sexy as that french accent is... it gets old... fast.

Overall I felt the VO talent all did an excellent job.

Shale's voice was generally very enjoyable and well done, obviously helped by strong and amusing writing.

Claudia Black deserve an honourable mention for making a dishonourable character quite compelling, although I was thrown off by some of the emphasis. I would put that down to difficulties in recording/direction in the studio.

Alistair was a more understated character who while never really impressing me did have an incredible cumulative effectiveness in creating a believable and likeable personality. So that's who I'm going with.

My first choice is Flemeth aka Kate Mulgrew she played the all old witch of the wilds pervectly. My second choice is Lileanna I espeacily love the line where she says "what is ment by someone like me"

Steve Valentine, hands down; I stopped imagining the actor altogether when he performed as Alistair. And if you've watched Crossing Jordan so many bloody times on TV reruns, that's a hard feat to accomplish :D

This, definitely... loved his character on that show.  I was thoroughly impressed with most of the voice acting in the game, though.  Flemeth, Loghain, Howe, Bryce & Elanor Cousland, Leliana, Morrigan, Sten, Shianni, Oghren & Gorim, just to name a few.

EDIT:  Isolde too.

Alistair by a mile. He has such great delivery which just augments his character so much more.

From the German VO, I liked Duncan, Flemeth, Loghain, Shale and Alistair.

Hearing clips of the English version sounds quite odd to me now - almost overacted in comparison, since - because I can't make out the details of the German (accent, stress etc.) -most things in that sound quite muted.

Hespith definitely gets my vote for best voice acting of a minor NPC.

First day they come, and catch everyone...

That's my fav also. Sounds a bit like Sigourney Weaver, very scary.

Morrigan and Alistar without a doubt.... inflection is the key to voice acting and the two actors that play these characters are very, very good at it.

Tim Curry...because I am a sucker for Sweet Transvestites from Transexual Transylvania!

Claudia Black...because I was a HUGE Farscape fan when I was a teenager!

Steve Valentine...he suits Alistair to a tee! Innocent, yet with a sense of purpose...

Steve Blum...but I think he should have been a elf or a mage instead of a Dwarf...that and I think all Dwarves should speak with Scottish accents.  Gimli from LOTR set the bar pretty high, I confess!

Simon Templeman...he even looks like Loghain!

Steve Valentine (Alistair) is the winner for me. He's awesome. And swooping is bad.

Claudia Black comes a close second <3

I liked Steve Blum (Oghren and Gorim, no?) pretty much too. Asschabs!

All in all, all of the main voice actors were wonderful :3 All!

Dont know who the actor was, but I liked the voice acting of Lord Vaughn, from the City Elf origin story, and his guard captain. They really sounded like the douchebags they obviously are.

Kate Mulgrew of course. Tim Russ would be a close second. Claudia Black would probably be third.

To pick an absolute best seems unfair as they were all impressive, but Steve Valentine as the voice of Alistair wins my vote if pushed. The character has so many layers though and ofcourse a much larger role that it is credit to the others he doesnt steal the show...well not totally anyway.

Morrigan rankled at times. Too many "tis's" for my liking, I found her extremely patronising. But I guess that's a compliment to a great job from the actress playing her. I'm not a fan of Shale either, for almost the same reason but in addition the character didnt fit well in the world. Where were the gasps of awe when you walk into Orzammar with a golem, a creature they have lamented the loss of for eons?! I'm glad I passed on Stone Prisoner in my first play-through and won't bother doing that again.

To finish on a high note, I'm going to give an honourable mention to the (unknown to me) actor who did the voice of Riordan. I think he got the "Orlesian raised in Highever" accent down to a tee. Master Ignacious (sp?) also had a wonderfully seductive tone that I could listen to for hours.
