Did Bioware just not care about ME3?

with the three previous games.
The ending is nothing but choosing door 1, 2 or 3.

Bioware's fans have spent a great deal of time and
money on your franchise and you got lazy stopped caring. Did you just not care,
or did you go into this knowing people would buy it based solely off of the
greatness that was ME1 and ME2?
Many people have grown up playing your games. Why stop caring now?

It's even worse if they just stopped caring at the last 15 min. That means they put that much effort into the game and then decided "screw it, just ship the game I'm tired of working on it"
Sadly, I wouldn't doubt if this is what happened. I can tell you that unless I get a statement saying they understand our pain and will release a patch adding addtional choices, I will be selling my game back and never buy another BioWare or EA title for the rest of my life.
I am dead f***ing serious.

They did care... up until the last 15 mins. Mass Effect 3 was a truly spectacular game which left many people in awe. Many people - I dare say the vast majority of people - were looking forwards to playing the game again. Some might have even started the trilogy again from scratch.

I'll admit, right up through the Kai Leng fight, I was thinking "oh man, when I'm done I'm going back and playing through this whole series again"
Then I got to earth and I'm like "Oh, well, this is kind of like any post-apocalyptic sci-fi...but heck, the combats fun and its only the last level I can manage"
Then I got the ending and I was like "Wait...no...I...I need some time to think.
And I haven't touched the xbox since.

You know, "15 last minutes" has become a meme already

Though I hate the endings and some other stuff in the game I think it's really far fetched to say they don't care. I mean come on we may be invested in the characters and story but they created it. I don't think they'd intentionally crap on it.
What else could it be? They didn't care enough to animate Tali's face, they didn't care enough to give an actual ending, they just didn't care.
And for the record all sad ending are fine with me, but a 1, 2, or 3 is not an ending.

Unfortunatly for me I was enough of a fan to preorder the collectors edition...

Remember how in ME2 that you could make choices that affected the ending to that game regarding who would survive and what to do with the collector's base? Remember all the upgrades you had to get and all the loyalty missions you had to go through just to make sure everyone would be able to make it out alive? In the game, we actually SAW the results of every single decision we made and how it affected the climax of the story. Did we do everything but get the armor upgrades? There's a specific part of the game that deals with that.
In ME3, you're just dealing with numbers. Cloned extinct animals? Just numbers. Assari commandos? Just numbers. To put it plainly, if ME2 handled your choices the same way you do in ME3, they wouldn't even show you how your upgrade/loyalty missions paid off. You'd enter the Omega 4 relay, and it would just cut to inside the collector base with some team members dead.
I WANTED TO SEE THOSE I RECRUITED FIGHT!

Because of how pre-orders work it didn't matter what they did. By pre-ordering we trusted them enough to buy a game without knowing how it actually was. By the time we saw the endings it was too late - they already had our money.
That's true, but not fixing it will have an impact on future games they release. Honestly, right now I don't know anyone that would go out and pre-order another Bioware game. Unless Bioware plans to take the money and go out of business, the 'we already have the money' tactic won't do anything but drive them out of business.

The whole game felt wierd to me, then I got it,
ME1 was mostly a personal jurney, becoming a specter, finding out what was going on with seren etc..
ME2 was mostly the same finding out about cerberus and the collectors, building your team, getting to know them etc...
ME3 on the other hand was about the larger events (they tryed the little kid scene at the beginning to get a more personal feel, but to me it fell flat)
The problem I have with the 3rd game (beside the awfull and illogical endings) is that is really hard to play Renegade.
I have 2 Saves, in one a a mix of P/R who saved the council etc
The other one is a full Renegade who let the council died so humans could get more power, who was quite happy to work with the ilusive man and had the same beliefs. This Shepard would have no problem with controling the reapers, for humanity etc.. the cerberus idea, but the game doesnt let you go that route, it puts me in the same paragon theme of cerberus is evil bla bla..
So as I said even before the ending the game isnt that great since its writen from a paragon point of view, and if you play as a renegade and want to continue the theme from ME2 it falls flat.

yea you think they would have spent a lot of time to make the ending great! (at least to have an option everyone would like. I wanted a happy ending)
what happened, BW?
