Greetings,

I have just unlocked the Krogan Sentinel with the first Spectre pack of this day and I wonder what is the best build for that class.

Personally I'm not sure about the choice of the class powers.

Do you suggest to invest in tech armor, reducing the use of powers, and going for close quaters battles?
Or do you suggest to make use of the class powers more frequently?

What do you think about Lift Grenade?
Do you suggest to evolve Krogan Berserke and Rage like the Krogan Soldier or do you suggest a different approach?

Thanks very much for your assistance.

Forget powers; invest in everything except incinerate, no more powers, take heavy ass powerful weapons, max out shields and health, you have a bad ass!

How do suggest to evolve tech armor? What bonuses should I select?
Is the Krogan Sentinel more "bad ass" than Krogan Soldier?

I heard some players praise the lift grenades. Are them more useful than Krogan soldier inferno grenades?

Lift grenades are better, yes, max out tech armor for damage resistance, go full tank.

I'm ignoring incinerate and maxing out the rest, going for health/shields in rage and damage reduction in tech armour. Maxed out lift grenades can get an 8m burst, which is perfect for enclosed spaces.

On bronze you can run around just smashing things up in melee - nothing more fun than one shotting Nemesis with a charge. Brutes, Atlases, Phantoms and Banshees are still a concern, but with rage up you can charge an Atlas and take a huge chunk of its armour off. Though if you aren't careful they will stomp you.

I went into tech armor (towards booting protection) lift grenades and rage my first time through with my krogan sentinel but promoted him yesterday as I discoved I rarely bothered with lift grenades (they are basically the poor mans singularity). This round through im dropping the nades and focusing more heavily on melee boosting traits while still preferring anything that increases health/shields/damage reduction. My previous build could drop brutes in close quarter fights on its own (soften up with revenant , charge out of the way of the brutes own charge then heavy melee him before he can recover a few times.) so im expecting to absolutely rape them at lvl15+ with this new one.

I maxed out Tech armor getting a 40% damage reduction and a 30% melee damage bonus (I don't need the reduction to power recharge rate)

My sentinel hasn't reach level 20 yet but this krogan is incredibly resistent. I just played a couple of matches and I heard a lot of players' comments about his resistent.

I was playing bronze with some friends, they have still low level characters.
Enemy was Cerberus. I was surrounded by about 5/6 troopers and I was able to kill them all in no time. First with a Claymore shot the other with melee. Impressive, most impressive even for a Krogan class. I should try some sivler/gold.
Sadly I'm not having a lot of luck in finding good weapons (apart form level 2 claymore). I'm getting a lot of characters/characters upgrades....and I need very good weapons for gold.

Grenades are not effected by CD timer :P So unless you want to spam/use incinerate, you can ignore CDs timers.

Just go max Tank/Melee and carry a Falcon.

I play korgan sentinal alot, what people have said aka max out everything but insinrate is the best idea, reason why you want to be carrying a Falcon and a Spike thrower (or claymore if you prefere) make sure the shotgun has the blade attachment for increased melle

now alot of people make the mistake for going for more melle damage over sheilds and damage reduction on the rage tree (dont do this) take increased sheild, 75% melle damage after a heavy kill increased sheild as choices, for tech armor take increased damage reduction and increased melle while active with this and rage active you have a whopping 70% damage reduction and a ton of health and sheild (you will need this on silver/gold) yet still have the melle ability with rage active to oneshot a phantom 7 hits to kill a fully sheilded atlas (you know if it dont turn round to own you while you slapping the thing to death) the only thing to note is you are weak while your rage is down and you NEED to kill a standard mob, trooper/cannibal to get that 75% melle going and then you can take out the rocket troopers/marauders/centurians to build your chain up till god mode

you can use lift grenades and spam the falcon when you need to guard points, the spike thrower is also amazing at taking out banshees etc if you have it fully charged (really dont even try to slap these to death)

Also this. I just made a Krogan who took all the melee bonuses instead of the shield ones and he is too soft.

I am unsure how to build him at this point as well. I want him to be my brawler (as I see tech armor better for brawling than fortification). The goal is to be able to one shot 2nd tier enemies (centurion, rocket trooper, mauraders) with 1 headbut on gold once rage is up.

I am planing on pure rage to get rage faster. I plan on having a shotgun with blade (probably Graal with high caliber) and a (Black) Widow with scope and barel (for gaurdians). How should I evolve the first 2 evolutions of rage to meet this goal?

Yes and no.
I played on gold pure Krogan tank, however am still stuck with base weapons.
So melee was the most damage I could cause, not good vs reapers.

However you do make a damn good bullet shield for a few minutes.

If you have a good weapon selection and upgrades I'm sure it would.

Build as above tank, tank, tank.
On Bronze you can take on an atlas in melee with a good chance of winning.. Especially with a vanguard player on team.

Well i usually go for maxed rage (melee damage all the way), maxed Tech Armor (melee increase+some 10 % durability at the end) and then go for weapon damage and melee i think in the class tree and i have to say it works really effing good especially if you're enraged then you can actually insta kill even rocket troopers on gold and 4 tree is up to you it doesn't matter as much as the others do.

I'm maxing out everything BUT lift greades, which means I'm maxing out incinerate.

Just to be different and annoy powergamers.

thats fine as long as your only using one heavy wep but with a falcon and spike thrower i have a +167% cooldown.... so you can never use it, if there cooldown was not an option incinerate would be much more usefull than lift grenade

I stupidly went for a melee spec and am at level 19 now. Going to promote him at 20 and make sure I turn him into a tank.

With my Claymore and my +67% power recharge I can pop out incenerate very fast.  Just like how my quarian engineer with the eviscerator and phalanx pistol with something like +120% recharge can pop out incenerates (oh snap, I took incenerate instead of Cryo.  Personally, I think that was a bad idea, but I wanted to try something different than from the demo.  I'll go back to cryo when I promote her) and the turrets just fine.

You don't need +200% power recharge to use powers effectively.  As long as you aren't in the red with -power recharge% than you're fine, regardless of how little or how large the boost is.

----

You can be a melee built Krogan and still be effective in silver/gold.  The difference being unlike in bronze you can't just rush ahead spamming heavy melee.  You're still a beast in melee in silver/gold; you just can't rush into a group of 50 geth rocket troopers and expect to survive.  That doesn't mean "MELEE IS USELESS!" it means you have to play differently.

The reason you go melee is and no powers is because you carry a falcon + the secondary weapon your cooldown will just no work. But you can max your armor, melee, and health and stuff along with grenades that do not have cooldowns.

The falcon staggers and gives melee opportunities. Make sure you go for the 2 kills for rage because it's better to get rage up easily than to get that 5% dmg reduction bonus.

For secondary I'd go with something that can also stagger because sometimes its better to use a shotgun in close quarters for single enemies.

I need to unlock some of the good weapons to truly make my Krogan the beast he is. But even so he is awesome.

How awesome?

I just one shot charged a Phantom at full barriers :) Had rage up, came charging around a corner, see full strength Phantom, go 'well, there is nothing else but go for it', charged and watched her die in one all powerful Krogan ****-slap.

The build I suggested is for Gold; you cannot go headbutting around on Gold all you want without dyng a lot. Max out health and Shields and use melee situationally, when it is safe and plausible. Just go for grenades, doing this will allow you to take very heavy weapons, ideally a powerful ranges weapon (Falcon or Sabre) and a powerful shotgun (Graal or Claymore. Then you are good to go.

Would Revenant and Geth Shotgun work well too? Or do you guys recommend Falcon and Claymore (I have all 4)?
