Yeah, about that...

Like I said, Bioware dropped the ball by allowing you trolls post anywhere without being registered.

Restricting a troll like you to the non-spoiler forums was obviously a mistake by Bioware

Sorry if that realization upsets you.

Consistency: you lack it.

I already admitted that I was characterizing you as trolls.  Where's the lack of consistency?  I'm saying that wasn't the content of my argument.  That I felt you were trolls, and any supplement on how I feel trolls should be dealt with, was an aside.

Don't blame the posters. Blame Bioware for making a bad game.

Really? So someone is upset at the game, that gives them the right to ignore the rules and post spoilers, ruining it for everyone trying to stay spoiler-free?

Opinions about the game are individual and subjective. RULES are not.

You might think it's a bad game. I happen to think it's the best in the series (so far in my playthrough). Does that give me the right to come here and go on and on about what I love with spoilers?

The answer is no, in case you had to think about that.

OP; How about playing the game and not reading forum posts? Maybe that's too much to ask lmfao.

Can't play the game at work but still want to talk about it.

You're really saying that everyone else shouldn't come to the forums because you don't feel like following the rules?  You sure you're not a troll?

but as this thread shows the spoilers are doing it for kicks and arguements.

If people wanted to troll with spoilers, there are better spoilers they could use than the ones we're seeing from people on this sub-forum. That indicates to me that the primary goal of people who intentionally or accidentally spoil something is not to troll.

Indeed.

We will enforce as best we can that there are no spoilers in this forum.

We are not preventing people from criticising the game. We are insisting that these criticisms are posted in teh Storyline or Gameplay forums where spoilers are allowed to be discussed.

I've never reported anyone; i'm more interested in clarifying the nature of what you're doing to you, just in case you were confused.  Most people in this thread don't seem to realize how detrimentally anti-social they are.  I like you because you self-admit that you're a mess.

And I like you because you remind me of what happens when someone binge drinks through all three trimesters: a sickly boy who hides behind statistics and perceived objectivity, and compulsively categorizes everything.

Thanks for the evaluation; I'll remember it when I'm out with friends.

Although BW should get some criticism for the rules and just hiding behind them, namely that there isn't a spoiler-allowing forum that non-registered people can post in, particularly as what's in the spoilers has had a big impact on some people when it comes to deciding whether or not to buy the game.

Doesn't justify posting spoilers here though.

1. A good reason? Yes, a good incentive to register your game for the added priviledge of discussing a registered game.

Yet another misunderstanding. it is an incentive to register your game. If you don't register, or use an account not associated with your registered account, then you don't get the privilegdes afforded those who post from registered accounts.

Why provide a separate forum granting un-registered users the same kind of privilidges as registered game users?

Yes, being prevented from posting is a good incentive to register so you are allowed to post. But where is the good reason for restrictions in the first place?
Why are certain members of an online community of BioWare fans, PRIVILEGED over others in the first place? Is it not logical to conclude that their opinion is considered more worthy simply because they have registered a game? What about all the other people who have seen the endings, but don't have the game, for example? People that have been fans, but have decided not to get / register the game for various valid reasons? How is alieanting them FAIR? How is this anything other than discriminating towards other customers / fans of the franchise?

Ha!

My origin account is a bunch of bull, can't even get it to register with my xbox gamertag let alone work for this forum account.

I don't really care if my talk is close to spoiling things for you, I'll say what I want when it comes to the topic at hand. The game has been out for almost a week, most people should have it by now. Even if you haven't reached the ending the endings themselves are rarely spoiled in conversation, they are comments on how bad it is.

Stop clicking on threads that are obviously about spoilers.  Use your head.

And here is the selfish, entitled attitude that is ruining the spoiler free forum. People post spoilers in the titles of the threads sometimes, or don't post enough in the title to warn their thread is a spoiler! This is the NO SPOILERS FORUM.

Oh, and to the guy who said to avoid the forum and play the game - wow, so it's okay for people to break the rules and post spoilers, and that means everyone else needs to just leave? Yeah, no. I'm not the one breaking the rules. The spoiler free forum should be a place where everyone can come and talk about aspects of the game without being spoiled. How is this hard to understand???

Think about that question for a while and see if you can figure out why BioWare makes that distinction.

We would, if we could. As it is, we are not allowed to, without being given a legitimate reason for this lockdown. "Additional privilege", fine, but how is that FAIR?

+1

Yes. I mean, I know you guys try to stay on top of the spoiler-posters, but seriously the threads they post are like weeds, they grow too fast to keep them all down. A spoiler forum where they can go play would probably make that much less of a problem here.

Selfish entitlement? That implies I feel as though this forum is run for me, someone who has played and finished the game, for what I want to talk about. I know this is the non-spoiler forum but because BW felt that we had to go through a registration process to access even one spoiler forum, I can't go post there.

And I shouldn't have to if I don't post blatant spoilers, I can discuss whatever I want. Its sensitive people like you who click on the threads who are very clear on what spoilers are and what aren't.

Get over your self-righteousness.

You'll be thanking us when YOU finish the game and know we were right.

I agree with this 100% - I don't think there IS an excuse to post spoilers in the non-spoiler forum. However, apparently there are issues some people have with registration, meaning they can't register their game, not that they won't.

However, that being said, that is absolutely not an acceptable reason to come here and post spoilers. It is merely an excuse that some people are using to do what they want despite the rules.

How about customers (or potential customers) who want to discuss Mass Effect 3 without being spoiled? Currently, they don't really have a place to post.

Why make the distinction? That's what I don't get. Why separate people in the first place, when everyone can read and be spoiled anyway? What are you gaining? What are any of us gaining, other than people breaking the rules because of this restriction? (note: not saying it's RIGHT, but it wouldn't happen if everyone could just post in the appropriate parts of the forum).

You brag about having friends like most gamers would brag about having a girlfriend.  This whole "having friends" thing, is it pretty new to you?  It gets less exciting over time.  When you have friends for a couple years it almost feels common, like it's not even worth mentioning.

Have fun with your new friends.  ;)

if people dont want to register then they have to accept they are forfieting the right and PRIVILEGES that go with registration.

jesus wept...the same people arguing that there are entitled fools here, are the same people demanding another spoiler forum just for thier tastes.
