Bug report:
Overheard a conversation of one salarian doctor in Huerta Memorial Hospital about some missing medical stuff. I found these components after scanning a planet and came back to talk and give it back to him.
When I get inside the room he is in, a cutscene starts, but it doesn't focus on me coming in. Instead, it focus on nothingness and then immediately stops. The game goes back to the mode where you can walk around, and the salarian doctor says something like "I don't know how you found this, thanks! Here's something for your help..."
I receive nothing from him, just some experience points.

I have the same problem. He speaks that he will give Shepard some credits, but he give him nothing...

Yeah the camera does something funky there. I don't think there is supposed to be a cutscene. I thought he gave me credits, now I will have to pay attention the next time I do that quest. If he doesn't you still get the War Asset bonus for the Citadel Defense Force.
