Very sorry if there is such topic already - i tryed to search it, but I couldn't find one.

Ok, although I think this is gameplay issue, I decide to open this topic here since its the only place with PC section.

So, we have a PC version. We have keyboard with more then 100 keys. And we must use 4 actions in one key. Its just awful.

Cover, Use, Sprint, Dodge. Thank God, shooting and powers are not stuck on the same button also.

- Chased by enemies you wanna sprint running close by a wall - the game sticks you to the wall taking enemy fire.
- Wanna dodge - the game sticks you covering.
- Wanna revive a teammate fallen near a wall - you stick to the wall covering.
- Wanna use a objective action - you stick to the wall covering.
- Wanna cover - you jump over the obstacle into your enemies.

...and so on and so forth. :pinched:

Really, Bioware - four (4) actions with one key? What is this? Is it "the way of the console"? Maybe on the gamepad is great - I don't know - I don't play on consoles. I play ony on PC and 4-in-1 is awful.

Please! PLEASE! I'm begging you, Bioware! Please make this 4 actions separate (Cover, Use, Run, Dodge) and customly bindable. You can leave the One Key option for anyone who prefers it that way. But please do something for all of us who really dont like this. PLEASE! I'm not a programmer, but I think this is not hard to do.

And before some guys come to say how pleased they are with 4-in-1 key - no, guys this thread is not for you - this thread is for all of us who struggle with 4-in-1 button madness. :crying:

I think you forgot some horror scenarios.

- You want to push a button while running away from enemies and... jump to cover under the button
- You are in cover and want to jump to the next cover, but you stand up instead right in front of an autocannon
- You want to take cover, but you press a button instead releasing hell over you

Yes, this is probably the worst idea ever created. Or someone was really lazy in BioWare's office, he just said "hey its so damn late, we have some action binding left to do but lets just bind them all into 1 key and go home". Seriously this is so ANNOYING! If you have fallen teammate in some small room, and you play on Gold you can count you 90% dead because your char will stick to every wall but will never revive the fallen player. The same goes for objective hacking - when you want to hack it will go to cover, or if you want to cover it will go hacking. I can't imagine how you came up with this "solution"... Terrible laziness BioWare. No offense but...

Hardly a laziness, because it's obvious, that Bioware putted tremendous effort in this game and it's so amazing. But there is no such thing as "PERFECT game", and it's just a matter of patching to fix as many as possible things, that can be done even better. I hope Bioware take care of this.

Have fun reading. Its long and about ME2 but apparently Bioware did not read it as a lot of the same issues are in ME3

Can we get a fix for that BioWare? And a FoV fix as well? The game is unplayable for me.

Yea so many functions on one button isn't the best solution :/ Really hope they allow us to rebind the functions someday, but by then am probably finished playing already anyway....

This and they need to allow us to holser our damned weapon when not in combat. They say the feature was removed because of RAM issues... ON CONSOLES. I don't have 8GB in my laptop and 24GB in my deskto for my own health.

Yes the PC owners are screwed these days. I can't wait for the next gen consoles so the PC can get badass games again.

I've also have big problems with this, since the demo version.
It's just terrible design that appearently lacked any kind of testing.

I fully agree with the OP!

I would very much like to be able to split at least some of the functions of the spacebar for other keys, for the reasons already mentioned in this thread.

Overloading a key with functions was probably intended to make it easy and convenient to use, but at the same time it easily leads into unintended orders being given in battle.

If I wanted to play a console with console restrictions I would...*gasp* buy a console. This issue was also present in ME2. We deserve the customization available to us that we get on every other title made for the PC.

Well, yeah, it can be annoying, but I don't see it as a general problem. It is more relevant in MP, and I won't ever try to heavy-melee someone near cover again, because it won't happen. But with that said, I find it much easier in those fast situations having only to press the space button instead of three different.

The only solution I have it to bind 'E' as the secondary key for Use/Sprint/Cover and Left Shift as the main key. It makes it a little easier. I personally don't mind using one key for sprint and cover. Makes the combat flow better. I do hate that the Use function is also mapped to that button. How often do you see a PC where the Use key isn't 'E'? Come on..

I use the letter G as my use key because I don't use standard WASD for movement so my hand is moved over one column on the keyboard.
