This link doesnt show how to get those amounts of EMS. And everyone here knows how much EMS we need for the ending we want. Or why do you think we are talking of how to get at least 4k? The question is how to get there.

I got imported form ME2 and got the stargazer ending with less than 3k EMS like 2890.
Yeah, that's the secret ending and it can be obtained simply by importing a character or NG+. The 4,000+ EMS is needed for the Deep Breath ending after Destroy.

Well my first playthrough of ME3, I did get the best ending with 50% galactic readiness. However it was a "perfect paragon" exhaustive playthrough of both ME1-2, which unlocks troves of extra War Assets. I think I had somewhere close to 5k, at 50%, a little less maybe 4850? Its possible to do. Doing multiplayer raises it too much too quickly, sort of retcons all the effort you put into the prior games. That said I like how it works.
Full paragon in all three games (even didn't tell Ash to shut up and played a good friend to Liara in the third one), got all the allies including minor NPCs, and still lacked about 300 points.
Maybe you played at least some on PM and that's why you got that far? Or it was vanilla run without ever touching MP?

how much does mp effect ems? I've approx 4800 before horizon and i've played just enough mp to get 71% and i've still got a handfull of sidequests to do.

Every match you win adds 1-3% to your readiness(depending on complexity), so count for yourself. Ten gold matches won = +30% to your default 50%. Which means EMS will be 80% from your total and it is far more than enough to get 5k EMS at the end.

Everyone gets that Stargazer ending. That's not the ending you need 4k EMS for.

Oh? What decisions would those be? I started ME3 with an import character from M1/ME2 and high extremely high credits and minerals. Did you manage to make it past 4k without MP, and if so would you mind posting a screenshot?

Um...how about reading the Hudson's notes.....The ME guys have said this like....a hundred times. If your to lazy to read the announcements why should I bother making a screen shot? :innocent:

No one is denying that the devs have stated it's possible. People are questioning the validity of said statements. That is the meat of this discussion, perhaps you should have taken your own advice and read this thread more thoroughly and you'd have know that.
You claim it's easily done, yet provide no proof other than “Well, duh. The dev said so.” So, did you manage to do this yourself, or are you just parroting what statements have been made by the developers?

I have 3 story missions left in ME 3 with 3553 EMS. I'll calculate this.
I've got every alien asset at what appears to be full value,if not more.
-100 from Alliance,75 of which is gotten from multiplayer so -50. 90 more to come storywise so in reality 45. Combines for missing 50 assets from the Alliance once that later 45 is added. That'll give me 3598 overall later.
-25 from the Asari, rounds down so -12,-70 which is 35. -25 so missing 12 more. Missing a total of 59 here.
Value of 109 assets missing right now.
Every ex-Cerberus asset with 12 more to come. Giving me 3610.
-5 from the Crucible,in reality -2. 110 to come which is 55. 3665.
Missing value of 111 assets.
Krogan,-5 which is really -2 and -75 which is 37. I'm not sure why I'm missing that second bit. There's 25 that cancel each other out and in fact provide a bonus in the alien races.
150 missing.
Geth -2...and whoa, whoa, whoa. Something wrong here the guide says the fleet is supposed to be at 450 but it's only at 155. Did I need to save the Heritics in ME 2? 295/2 = 147
299 missing.
Got more for the Salarians than what the guide says.
All Turian assets,full value.
All Quarian assets with more than the guide says as well. I guess this ties into the Geth thing and makes up for it?
So it looks like I'll only have 3665 in the end and the value of what I'm missing is 299.
299 + 3665 = 3964
The missing 75 points under Alliance from promoting a multiplayer character that's valued at 37...3964 + 37 = 4001 (plus whatever I'd get to add to the readiness while promting).
I'm turning this game off now and waiting for some offical answers.

I was a faithful to the mass effect series since the launch of the first game. And because of that faithfulness and playing on the xbox 360 against my better judgement, I am now doomed because I do not play for Live Gold, ence I cannot even play the multiplayer if I wanted to.
Fair enough, I agree completely about what you said about XboX Gold and not wanting to pay to play. That being said you get 2 free days of xbox gold with buy the game. Use that and finish the game. Or wait until you can get a month worth of golf for a buck and then cancel it after you see the cut scene.
ps.
From what I saw of it (was out of the room when it started) it looked pretty unimpressive.
pps.
It will be on youtube by now.

I feel that it is very rare when a developer is able to make both top quality single player and multiplayer for a given game and usually there is a trade off.

I know it's a long shot but I'm still holding out hope that this can be done without a need to turn to the Multiplayer (thinking about long-term enjoyment of the game and re-playability a few years from now).

You gain 3% of galactic readiness for every won match, that's 17 matches to go from 50% to 100%. It's about 4 hours of Bronze runs, then you just need to run one match every day to keep it at 100%, are you telling me that you can't spread 17 matches during your whole SP campaign?!
Did you not bother to read? I don't have xbox live gold. And it shouldN't have been forced down my throat.
I hate gamer self-entitlement as much as the next, but this just feels like a serious slap in the face.
I just bought the game and the ****ing DLC. Why is xbox live gold being forced down my throat too. Do I look like I'm made out of money?
XBL is only $3 a month. If you can't afford $3 a month then you have bigger issues to worry about than playing video games.

Why is it that there are so many people like you who think it's just about the money?
You totally miss the point that some people just don't want to play the multiplayer, or they don't want to feel forced to play it... or that Bioware lied about the multiplayer not being necessary to get the full experience from the single player.
