That is what I have posted as well. My NG+ in on halt, playing anotyher imported Shep atm, so I dont know how it works. I finished my first run with 7001 TMS and EMS because I do enjoy the MP. It is fun and relaxing after 3-4 hours of Insanity in SP.

I know that War Assets dont carry over to NG+. But either we get more points from playing a NG+ with the fish, like prima guide says (I dont have it. Just saw pics of it in a pre-release spoiler thread) or perhaps the EMS required for the breath scene is reduced in a NG+.

If someone has finished a NG+ and can inform us better, it would be helpful. I guess.

Seriously incorrect. New game+ does not enable any thing like that. (EMS are NOT transfered) Also some went through data files (coalesced.bin) and found there are not enough assets for 4000EMS. Are not! (In fact two asets which could just push it past mark, were disabled and not available)

So ironically, you are speaking about things you know little and should have read more about and in depth..

The required amount of EMS in NG+ is slightly higher and you have a few more War assets you can collect, like the fish. The choices you make in the final part of the game with Anderson also lower or increase the required EMS for the perfect ending.

I never said that EMS carries over, I just know the output gets higher and you collect a few more. Its not incorrect. I also seen friends finish the game with 4100 or more points without touching multiplayer.

You are making a statement without looking further into it.


We are talking about Deep Breath. Not Stargazer, okay? The difference:


Stargazer is an ending you get when you play NG+ or import a ME/ME2 character. You do not need a certain number of EMS points to obtain it. You do not have to choose a certain ending to obtain it. It comes tacked on with all three endings.


Deep Breath is an ending you get with 4,000+ EMS points. You also have to choose the Destroy ending. You do not need NG+ to get it because EMS points do not carry over. You have to have 4,000 EMS and pass certain persuasion checks to obtain Deep Breath or you must gain 5,000 EMS if you do not pass the checks. You cannot obtain 4,000+ EMS in single-player or NG+. You must supplement it with Multi-player.


Let me repeat: Stargazer is not the same thing as Deep Breath and you obtain them in completely different ways.

4100EMS???? Screeshot from them please. Because other posters currently established as max ~3700EMS making diff 300. (I didn't work on that, I was just hunting down two missing assets worth 300)

Also note that out there are modified c.bins granting much higher points for TMS then regular files. (Generally double)

There's people that can't do that either as they may not have a USB drive or don't want to chance it. It's a lot easier than it seems but I actually had modio already since I needed it for Madden rosters,wasn't much different than that. Even then I did something wrong the first try,not fatally wrong but wrong.

Afraid so. If you do try MP, keep in mind that the % value of your Readiness degrades some for every day you don't play it. So if you're still pretty early in your play through, I would consider waiting until you're closer to the end before you play it. Especially if you just want to play enough to give you a boost.

I am not 100% sure that there is no way to get 4000 EMS with Single Player only, even if a NG+ is required to it.  I am sure Syrellaris did not mean Stargazer only but the Breath Scene ending because of the 4001 EMS mentioned.

But Multiplayer is a hell of a fun. Invite some friends and do some Bronze runs or join some public games (check the settings of the search screen and make sure it reads Bronze and not Any League). Bronze is ideal for new MP characters because they will not have the best weapons and consumable equipments which is definitely a must to survive in Gold League, plus a hell of a team too. Practice does it.

And if you don't have a wingman by then, give me a call. I'll fly with you.

If you use PS3 then yes, otherwise a save game just before the final mission can be moded using Gibbed if you're on PC or XBox.

And to those saying in might be possible, I'd suggest you read the entire thread, it's been pretty much proven that there are not enough assets in the game and NG+ adds or changes nothing (except a fish, but only if you romanced Kelly).

Did the best I can, got my EMS to 3400. Had to play multiplayer to get it beyond 4000. I hate playing the multiplayer in this game. The only multiplayer I've ever enjoyed is the Battlefield series.

Hm, how often do those who literally can't play the MP have to say that they seemingly can't reach 4000 EMS, let alone 5000 EMS in the singleplayer alone? I don't have internet connection with a TV in the same room, so I can't play MP, even if I wanted to - which I don't. And we already said, the War Assets don't carry over into a NG+. And even if the values for the WarAssets were higher in a NG+, shouldn't that be located as a value in the file we found the original values of the war assets in?

It bears repeating that there IS an alternative to MP...so long as you can run one of their mobile apps (and the datapad app is even free).  It's not MUCH of an alternative, but it is an alternative.

It drops AROUND 3/4 of a percent per day, and the drop is gradual (ie: it doesn't drop that 3/4 all at once, but a bit every hour). From what I can tell, that happens whether you play MP in a given day or not.  You just don't notice it when you're seeing MP increases because it's seemingly so trivial.

The datapad app (and no, I"m not trying to pimp it) actually shows your percentage accurate to 2 decimal places, per district.  For example, you'd see 67.56% rather than just 67%.  I played an MP match yesterday...and still saw the drops throughout the day on the app.

First, I'd need bit bigger income to afford device just for wasting time. (no tablet or e-reader like device) That's why I mentioned Bluestack. (Although getting Asus EP121 would be nice, but that ain't no consmuer device)

You generally only have to play 1 to 2 matches a day in bronze to bring you back up to 100%.
