^ maybe (the numbers aren't particularly correct but the positive / negative gains are)
I have a not very user friendly spreadsheet online of which you can find the link on page 25 / 26 / 27 ( I seriously can't remember) of this thread. I'll endeavor to continue cleaning it up if there's some high demand for it I guess (feel free to PM me with questions regarding it etc)

Proof...Please. Look at a walk thru. I hate complaining about notgetting the best ending which is based on your past choices and the choices made now. Did you for get what your fighting in the game? The reason why getting any ending is like this is because we are facing an enemy like the reapers. It not going to be easy beating them. Choices have a heavy consideration. So when they said choices matter ...They meant it.MassStorm wrote...

enough said.
This is obviously a lie. Then we should expect an exact clarification on HOW to get the "best" ending without MP
It's not clear because as far as we know none has been able to get the "best" ending (4000+ EMS) with a galactic readiness of 50% (which means no MP at all). If BW insist on these claims then provide info, screenshots and details if this is possible....i'm asking proofs before starting my trilogy again.
Are you suggesting that anything about this decision is capable of being explained away by story elements? That the reapers are suddenly something more than they've been for the last 5 years and right in time to provide a convenient excuse for why you have to fool around in variations of the game that never even existed before in order to have a snowball's chance of completing regardless of how many things you've done right?
C'mon. Here's your chance to save face and edit that response out of existence because it's pure absurdity. The entire problem is that without mp your choices don't matter. So how exactly do you conclude from this that choices matter and people forgot that? This is almost a complete whiff on the entire reason for concern here on an astounding enough level as to appear drug induced.
Getting the correct combination of choices then must be some mumbo jumbo Modus Ponens and Demorgan's Law riddled truth table mixed with equal amounts Fibonacci sequence and Dead Sea Scrolls Sanskrit. So why would anyone feel confident about their chances of success compared to say, winning a Powerball lottery? And why then does multiplayer effectively become a skeleton key that can open all doors completely disregarding n poorly considered single player game choices?
Not sure if serious.

Solution: Make the base multiplier 100%, which can be increased to 150% with multiplayer.
Completely redundant unless there's a secret ending that requires over 12000 EMS.

Solution 2.0: give permanent +10% for each completion of the campaign. 60% would be enough for best ending on a second playthrough if you make good choices. Still cap total % at 100, just provide an alternate path.
Solution 3.0: give a +% bonus on a new game+. That way, ng+ will let you reach level 60, get mark X weapons, and get the best ending.

EDIT:
I looked around on the internet and apparently on a non-imported "fresh" save with no DLC the max War Assets you can get is around ~6500. With an imported character with all the DLC it's around ~7500.
I personally like MP, but they really should address this issue. They should make the default readiness multiplier 65%-70%...50% is too low.

No. I don't think it's even possible with NG+. You can't do it without multiplayer, which is rediculous.

It is not possible to get at all since the most you can get is only around 7500.

I have maxed out my War Assets to 7415 after doing every single parcel delivery, N7 and side quest.
To get all endings your EMS has to be 3750 and it doesn't matter what ME2 choice you made when you have that 3750 EMS.
So even after following this series from beginning to end I cannot get all ending options without playing multiplayer because I am missing 85 war assets.
85 war assets.
85.
I had to play multiplayer not only to get all endings but to get an easter egg within one of the endings.

Then how could I get to 10600 ? And I didn't scan every system.

All endings as in having all the three options available? You don't need 3750 for that, just 2800.

I believe the said ending is a reward though, for people who actually do bother to get more than 4000 EMS. The rest will just miss one scene which they would get anyway if they just played 4 or 5 games of MP with 7000 war assets. After all, everyone who plays ME3 has an internet connection.
Not much of a scene either. Just a hint.

I personally don't mind it. It was a good reason for me to play MP and now I keep playing! I'm enjoying it a lot and keeping my assets at 100% has become a daily ritual

I don't care about the stupid MP component i never asked for i just want to be able to get all the endings with SP without having to resort to that garbage MP.

Well, it may seem like a reward to you, for me, it's like a kick to the face. Why? No, not everyone who plays ME3 has an internet connection to play. I don't, and I refuse to pay for Xbox Live Gold to play Multiplayer for a Game that started out as a complete Singleplayer game.
I would bother to get more than 4000 EMS in Singleplayer if I could. But it seems I can't, and that is what this thread is all about.

My EMS is 36??. Not a single system left to scan, all side missions done.
This sucks. I may use the 2 day free trial for MP, but I absolutely hate to do that and I shouldn't have to.
Does anyone here have Twitter or Facebook? Maybe you could ask the devs on there to see if we get an answer.
I've taken my time playing hoping that DLC would have been released by now allowing for more EMS to be acquired, but nothing, so far. :-(
