If you have an iOS or Android device, you can get Mass Effect 3 Datapad which will provide you a painless way to up your readiness. It doesn't take much work, but takes a few days to up it.

No. I don't think it's even possible with NG+. You can't do it without multiplayer, which is rediculous.

Could you post your list of war assets somewhere that we can look at?  I see no way to get to that total from my play through.  I'd be curious to see what you've got that apparently the rest of us don't have.

Yah I asked Hudson on twitter,no reply of course.

Everyone that has ME 3 on PC has an internet connection plus they can very easily edit their save but no not everyone with a console can get it hooked up,figure out save editing or has XBL gold. Even IF everyone did have a way of getting online and online play was free across the board that wouldn't change the fact on numerous occasions they LIED and said multiplayer wouldn't be an issue in getting the best ending.

An update to my recent post.

I had zero interest in the MP. But I'm at the point of no return, the Cerberus HQ mission, and my EMS was on 3600 and something.

So, I used the 2 day pass today and spent around 2 and a half hours doing the MP.

My EMS is now at 4961.

But, the big surprise is I enjoyed it. I can't believe I said that, but yes, I did.

IAnyway, since I'm one of the haters of the endings, I wanted to post something positive about ME 3.

Also, Kudos, to the community. Even as a total noob, I wasn't booted once in 4 matches and everything went just great.

It is possible to get to 4000 EMS by the Cerberus HQ mission, but this requires basically 100% completion and making some odd choces throughout the game that really shouldn't make any difference.  They should have set the threshold for the best ending a bit lower.

This reminds me of the Liara achevement in ME1. You had to really go out of your way and do things out of the natural order to get her on your squad early enough to get the achievement.

 You get more war assets on a NG+ game?  I'm almost at the end of a NG+ and the war assets/EMS are all the same...

That's not the point:
1 - believe it or not, not everyone has a broadband connection.  This game was released in multiple countries too

2 - not everyone has XBL

3 - some people actively avoid online multiplayer to avoid problems with other players.  I stick to playing teams with friends ONLY or playing PvP free for all.  I do not find playing team-based games with online strangers particularly enjoyable

4 - it's the principle of the thing, multiplayer shouldn't have an affect on the single player campaign.  It didn't for ME1 or ME2, why start now?  I would hate to see this develop into a trend for other games.

I have zero - yes 0 interest - in even looking at multiplayer.

I NEVER whined about them adding MP before the game came out, I was happy for people who would enjoy it. They kept saying it wouldn't affect the single player game at all. They said they weren't gonna nerf SP because of it.

Guess what? It was another lie in a long list of them.

To attach MP in such a way to a previously only SP - no make that 2 SP only titles in a trilogy is extremely frustrating to some of us.

For you to say "play MP blah, blah, blah" is just craptacular of you. The big point is according to the promises made -- WE SHOULD NOT HAVE TO!!!!!

We should not need to! I was thinking seriously about "canceling my pre-order CE" in November due to the multiplayer aspect.But then EA/BW said you won't need to play multiplayer to get the best ending.Ignoring the fact that the endings we got boiled down to A,B,Cand was not based on our choices through the previous 2 games and I don't consider them/it a good ending,you still NEED multiplayer.
What about the people with no net connection?It seems that this game was made for the new player not the old,the MMO/shooter not the single player RPG/Shooter.I will never buy a single player game again that has multiplayer added on,I don't care how deep into the story I am.Now to read more of the thread and see if I've jumped the shark.EA/BW sure has.

Sorry, not even possible then.  It's been proven by examining the data files and doing the math on an 'ideal' playthrough from ME1 to ME3.  You cannot get 8000 total war assets or more, it's impossible.
Which means that without multiplayer, you cannot get 4000+ points required for the Destroy 'breath' scene.

Sorry, but a lot of ppl keep saying this is possible if you do EVERYTHING, but it's not.  No doubt at all, 100% proven.

It's just the principle of the thing, especially as there is still a sticky on the forums from the devs saying that there are MORE than enough war assets in SP alone. *sigh*

I played through with near max EMS and 50% (about 3600) readiness and then did MP for 100% (about 7200 EMS) and replayed from illusive man base to the end. Exact same ending. I understand there is supposedly a secret ending for the magical 5k EMS... but I didn't get it in my ending either way. So for me.. it didn't matter at all, though it ended up being a lot of fun.

I can't believe this! If I would have known this I would not have purchased my collector's edition. Bioware should have been honest..or if this is a bug, they need to fix it.
I hate MP with a passion. I'm a woman and everytime I've tried to play online with strangers I have gotten sexual comments from guys. I'm usually so uncomfortable and upset after that that I just log out. I'm also 31 years old with a baby daughter. I don't have a lot of time to play games so I have to use it wisely. Now I'm forced to spend that time doing something I hate to get the best ending?!
Another thing, most of my friends don't play video games. So I will be stuck playing with strangers. Bioware please fix this!
In the meantime, I'll try to get my galactic readiness high enough by using the iOS games. Although, this is obviously not fair to people who don't own the required Apple devices (which would be most people). Sigh... Maybe I'll try to do the bronze MP solo. Wish me luck!

BTW, if there are any females or nice guys who are playing the MP and wouldn't mind playing with a rookie, could you please PM me? If I can't get my readiness score high enough with the datapad app or playing MP alone I may need to play some MP matches with other players.
I'm a pretty good player in SP (can play ME games on insanity) but I don't know how I'll do in MP. I'm on the Xbox. Thank you!

As it stands, it's just isn't possible to get 4000 EMS, even with 100% completion in SP right now, outside of a glitch or a save game edit.

On my first playthrough, which was a ME1 -> ME2 -> ME3 import I had more than 4,000 EMS. This was before I touched multiplayer meaning that my readiness was still at 50%. This means I had over 8,000 TMS.

On my second playthrough which was a no import game my EMS was also above 4,000 but this time I had a readiness of 100%.

Seems hardly fair to those that do not like multiplayer I admit. I wonder if my way lower EMS on 2nd playthrough was due to no import or rather the fact that I played it renegade and could not achieve many peaceful solutions as on my import.
