Ya. I like how they tried to make it sound like it wasn't needed at all too.

Next to the endings killing the entire franchise, this was probably the thing that pissed me off the most.

I dont want to go play multiplayer when im going through my Shepards story. Idiots.

As much as I complained in the thread. I'm really thinking it was just a maths error. I mean 3750 when I needed 4000 is just too close to be a drastic oversight, but close enough to be thoroughly upsetting. It's just with all of the pre release talk about how they said you didn't need MP. To allow such an oversight is really inexcusable.

You said you were a full paragon right? That might be it since there are renegade choices that give you a decent boost to your EMS (Tuchanka)etc aswell as supporting people in arguments and Dianna Allers' reports. That might be why you lack the other 250.

I'm sure BW will release DLC which "solves" that problem. As long as you're willing to pay.

I enjoy the multiplayer, it's better than expected. But you should'nt be forced to play it, the N7 missions in singleplayer could have been a substitute for people without internet connection.

Yep, full paragon. It could be any number of things really. I guess I'll just have to wait until either somebody from Bioware gives a full list of what adds to the list and what doesn't, or us fans figure it out.

I now realize that when I said I had nearly 5000 points, it was actually total assets and not EMS... I didn't realize the 2 numbers were actually separate entities (and I blame Bioware for this confusion... why does there have to be 2 separate readiness amounts?).

I'm pretty annoyed by this now. What's the point of creating your own Shepard and guiding them through a trilogy of games, making your own decisions about certain outcomes, etc only to be told at the end that you didn't do it how Bioware wanted?

Boy, it really paid off to be a Bioware and Mass Effect fan all these years.

I can't play multiplayer... I'm a bit anti-social... (I love Final Fantasy games, so I had I really tough time playing FFXI). I'm not sure I'm going to buy ME3 anymore. Don't get me wrong, I just don't want to be induced (almost forced) to do something. I'll probably wait for a fix to this...

I really want to be wrong. I don't want people to think that I am just crying and a big baby. If I did miss something in the first two games. I will gladly go back and complete that. I don't know whether I'm happy or upset that I now know the EMS "scores" I need for the best ending.  I just hit the point of no return and my EMS is a whopping ~3600 with no MP.  I also did every sidequest in both ME1 and ME2 (and kept everyone alive) and scanned every single planet in the galaxy for war assets and did all the Citadel and N7 missions in  ME3.  I was trying to avoid MP until after I had finished the SP so I don't get spoiled but I think I will have to jump on tomorrow just to increase my EMS.  Ugh, frustrating.

If you can reach values of 4k EMS or more without MP, why doesn't someone post a screenshot and settle the matter?

Exactly - so far, the only people I've seen say it and then post a screenshot were confusing Total War Assets with EMS. It seems like most people have been well and truly confused by the two separate numbers.

Be aware that your Readiness level from MP will decrease every day that you don't play MP. So even if you play MP to get the full 4k or 5k needed. If you wait a few weeks to play through again. You will have to do more MP to increase your level again. That's what makes this even more frustrating. Is that even if I use my free 2 day pass to increase my level. I will have to do so again later.

Ha, one more thing about ME3 that is pissing me off before I even started to play the game. I was very sceptic about the inclusion of MP at all, but when I heard it would interfere with the SP...

Well, I tried MP today just to see what did BW spent money on instead of making good endings or nice romance conclusion with Jacob and Thane.

And it was the most boring **** I've ever played. Fighting waves of enemies till the time runs out is not my idea of fun. Even scanning planets in ME2 was more entertaining. Very disappointing experience, if you ask me.

At elast you tried it. People don't want to be "forced" to play a feature of a game because they don't like other humans or something.

That's not really the point now is it?

I happen to think that the Multiplayer is a lot of fun - one of the best Co-Op packages I've played in any game.

I also happen to think that when a company tells you that it's not necessary to play the multiplayer component of a game to get the full experience and complete ending for Mass Effect 3 that it should be the case.

I still go back and play the original Mass Effect, five years after it was released... what happens if I want to play ME3 five years from now when the Multiplayer servers have been shut down and I have no way of boosting my Galactic Readiness past the base 50%?
