I never played ME1, but in ME2 I dont recall having the ability to replay the last mission, but thats excaly where I am after completing ME3.  I stand outside TIMs base ready to being the assualt all over again.  Admiral Hackett will allow the process to be repeaded ad nasusium.

Is that just my copy or is it like that for everyone else?

Yep, it sends you right back before the last mission.

It's like that for everyone else, doesn't strike me as too odd.

There is a conveniently placed auto-save in ME2 that lets you replay the collector base.

In ME2, you don't die following the assault. So it allows you to continue for dlc missions etc.

Yep, it's their way of letting you play any DLC that comes out later without having to restart the game. DA:O did the same thing.

Interesting. What I did was copy the autosave from the citadel out of the ME directory plus my final save 204 and put them in a safe location. I can repeat the endings as needed and have a final save as needed. An interesting observation is that your warroom will update to a new saying even after you have more galactic readiness. but even at a 100% the best it ever gets is "about even".

yes, but thats not the point. The point is that why allow me to redo the entire ending all over again unless there is a reason to. Frankly why if you have to spend that much time and energy running from Branchies only to get crappy endings again.
