Hello everyone,
Please find a link to the beta version of my "No level scaling" mod for Dragon Age in my signature below.
Very keen to take comments on what is a very early effort.
We can't edit the main campaign much so far, so I've just used the areadata file to alter scaling.

Very interesting, I've been wanting to do such a mod from the start, but I've been too lazy to fire up the toolset and do it for now.
I'm very interested in anything you could post about what is alterable in the toolset about level scaling, by the way.

Due to limitations in editing the official campaign in the toolset so far (to be fixed later I believe) I didn't actually use the toolset for this. You can make many changes simply by using Excel!
It's possible to make many changes to level scaling by editing the "areadata.gda" (level scaling for areas) and "apr_base" (level scaling for some basic creature types, can set minimums and maximums).
Best place to find files to edit is tools>source>2da and then edit the two files above. Remember to use the Excel Processor in:
Dragon Age\\tools\\ResourceBuild\\Processor
to turn your edited spreadsheet file into a .gda, then place it in
\\Dragon Age\\packages\\core\\override

Still very interested, but I'd like to know if you went the "MMO route" by making level simply dependent on the zone, or if you tried to give each creatures a specific level instead (for exemple, treants strike me as much more powerful creatures than wolves, regardless where you find them).
Keep up the good work anyway ^^

How can I look at the original areadata file?? I cannot find an original copy on my hard drive anywhere
. I basically to change anything that is normally scaled 5-15, to 15-15. Whatever the max is.

It's in [install]/tools/source/2da/areadata.xls. Look up the wiki on 2DA for how to make changes properly and get them working in game.

Many thanks for answering FergusM, posted a similar answer to the same question in my project thread.
