In some respects, I'm kind of disappointed with BioWare's recent games

Don't get me wrong, BioWare's still my favourite developer, and I love ME and DAO to bits, but it just seems like they're taking a step backwards design-wise. In Dragon Age and Mass Effect, you're basically accomplishing the same thing no matter what you do. What I loved about KOTOR and Jade Empire was that you could be either a saviour or a self-serving bastard, not just the former.

well you know in some respects getting a story to be freeform isn't as easy as it sounds i mean like coming up with the billions of different ways a story could be carried out would be rather time consuming etc. don't take that as a "i'm right and you're wrong" just stating my opinion

and BG 2 wasn't? you still have to kill irenicus at the end (to my knowledge) yes there are some part of BG2 that you could be all self serving.. but at the end of the day ur still the good guy.... same with DOA.

So how many of the endings of DAO have you seen? Hint: There's more than two.

Even if you want to be a self-serving bastard, the Archdemon still needs to die. Can't really be an **** if there's no one alive to witness it. Including you.

I love you. It really sticks in the throat that the whole way through DA, dialogue choices tend to give you the illusion of choice, but generally, no matter what you do, the same thing will happen.
