It's never been built in the past and yet we build it in a mtter of months. TIM knows about it, so thus do the reapers.  Why do they not destory it?  They must know where it was, etc.

I kept expecting a mission to defend it, that never came and when it wasn';t even attacked at the end that is also stupid.

Either the reapers know its a big joke that accomplishs nothing or they never had seen it as a threat even though its humanities last hope.  Destorying it would be a moral blow to the galaxy why not destory it anyway. They may not need morals for their calculations but then why send a sovergain class ship to eath to fire a beam a destoryer could do better?

Something is terribly wrong with the entire cruicble that it can be built so fast, never attacked, and never cared about.

Did skykid want the cycles over and just gave up, in hopes you pick the green ending?

but then why would he say you will control us in the blue ending?  You get to cotrol skykid as well?

more problems here than a bad ending, there are entire sections of the game missing.  usualyl you should get 40 hours out of this game, I got 23 hours total of gameplay as per my last save.

Simply another plot hole to add to the list.

Also it was not a weapon to be fired, and instead a AI hack. Wouldn't that mean the previous races knew the citadel was controlling the Reapers.

Probably, but then in the real ending Jarvik is the catalyst so yes, they knew it. Never told us probably cause they couldnt trust us.

But if it is controlling the Reapers why did they need to assualt it in ME1?   Jus tot put on a show, thats stupid from the perspective of the Reapers.

I thought the skykid was the reapers. Ya I got 25 hours out of it and that with scanning every planet and doing almost every mission, and walking around after every mission trying to talk to my squad.... Which you cant..

I was wondering how thousands of generations of species over millions of years devoted their best brains to slowly piecing togeather the designs for this great machine...and the way you make it work is by shooting a pipe with your pistol???

I mean, jeez, they couldn't give us a big red button or something?

I wasn't able to talk to Wrev, but I figured that was because I pissed him off. The fact he even showed up was interesting.

Well, it was never built, and assembles over cycles. How the Reapers never knew it existed is just stupid.

Well no.  Apparently none of them knew what it did, just that it was some kind of super weapon to take out the reapers.

My theory is that whoever started the "cycle"  also designed the crucible.  The whole "cycle" is really designed to find the strongest galactic civilzaton, the one that uses the crucible.  I guess it could be some grand experiement in survival of the fittest.  The reaper explanation for the cycle makes no sense, though maybe they were created to obey that non-sensicle order, because if they knew the true purpose of the cycle it could interfere with the experiment?  I don't know...

It's a pretty glaring plot hole though... I mean why would every civilzation work on this crucible if they didn't know what it did?  How could they construct this massive technological marvel and still think it's some kind of weapon that fires something?  Didn't they realize there was nothing about it that fired anything?

You really can't use a leaked script that never made it into the final game and is non-canon as evidence of anything...

They didn't need to find the Crucible because Shepard is still in the Geth Simulation.

Yeah, the fact that we found the plans for the crucible at the beginning of the game and are supposed to figure it out, gather the resources to build it, and build it all while the galaxy is under attack by the reapers is a pretty ridiculous plot device. How are the galactic races supposed to accomplish any of this while they are being decimated by reapers? It makes no sense. If they had to go this route, why couldn't they have started the plot thread in ME2. As is, it just seems like a really blatant ass pull.

The Crucible being passed down by anybody is just plain stupid. Beside the fact it doesn't fire anything, beside the fact each race as added to it, despite not actually knowing how it works. There's the fact the Reapers MO is to surprise attack and lock down the Relays, before anyone even knows of there existence. How do you build a super weapon when you are isolated and have no way of leaving anything for the next cycle?
