I made the mistake of creating a Sword and Board Warrior from the start, and I took a liking to Alistar so I always had him with me.

So I killed the High Dragon with Wynne, Alistar, (the Dwarf), and myself.

I turned off move freely, and moved my tank (who was using the improved shield wall so I didn't get knocked down, and threaten for aggro) far ahead. I blew the horn, the dragon landed in front of me. I simply tanked it to the side and let everyone beat on it until it was dead.

I was level 17 at the time, and had Wynne's tactics set up so that she cast Rejuvinate on any party member below 90% health, Heal on any party member below 75% health, and Group Heal when any party member hit below 50% health... and the last tactic, using the least lyrium potion when she got below 50% mana.

i beat him pretty easy with-

shale

my sword and shield warrior

wynne

liliana

shale went down early in the fight and I had tactics set up wrong so wynne kept wasting ressurect spells so i couldn't get him back intil the last 30 seconds or so of the fight and i still won, just kept my main character wacking away while wynne switched between shock spells and healing my PC and liliana just stood in the back with her longbow shooting ice and shock arrows.

challenge: put wynne in the dragon killing animation... without arcane warrior spec.

post proof!

I aprove of this challenge.. But.. Doesn't the game check on class for the kill animations?
Or just on weapon type?

Someone mentioned a key tatic to use, I do this as well and have no problem with the High dragon or flemeth. Dragons are big and slow - so Keep moveing!

I often pause and shift my tank to the rear and my rogue to the front. The dragon will try to turn back to the tank, which puts his flank back to my rogue. Also if the dragon has to keep moveing it makes it hard to use his talents.

If you have a Rogue - save that Dirty fighting! If by chance the dragon does bite your tank, useing the Dirty fighting talent will make the dragon drop him.

I was level 14 on all 4 play throughs at this point and the most heal pots I used last night were 5, and no healer.

Although I lost Lil, I didn't realize she had ran from where I placed her to right up next to the dragon. Shooting it with Stun arrows got his attention and she got chewed and spit out. - I saved my Dirty fighting incase he got Alistair, haveing the tank was a bit more important.
