Do you move your Xbox at all? As I know that can damage the disk if loading, especially the Slim models. Hope you get it sorted, maybe get the scratches buffed at a disk cleaning store?

It's been in the spot for over 4 years and it's an xbox premium if I remember correctly. And thanks for the tip.

Just happened to me too lol. Had to go get it buffed out. Didn't even touch the console. I noticed this game seems to make my console work harder.

This post isn't going to help at all, but I'm glad I installed to my hard drive before I had this problem.

I have a similar problem where my xbox seems to essentially toast the disc, i would recomend just switching discs back and forth for the quests you can. For me, the problem can't really be solved by installing as my HD is only 12 gb, and i know the first disc is about 7gb, which is already too much for my HD. So the solution is essentially get a new disc somehow, and risk it again, or also buy one of the new xboxs.

lol @ install disc. That shouldn't be an obligation. Go back to the store and get a new disc, mate.

Both disc installed, never moved my xbox (2010 arcade+hdd) and now cant read disc 1 !!!
I had glitches on Citadel(textures and shadows reloading) and on last mission videos(laggy not fully rendered, very dark) now I think its an disc fault. Disc 2 works ok and not spinning all time like disc1 did.

Should be 7GB total for the game.

I installed the game with 11GB free. Afterwards I had 4GB free.

Go figure.

You have to install each disc separately... it takes 14+ GB to fully install the game. I should point out as well that because the XBox 360 uses a Windows-based memory management system (that is, it uses free HDD space as virtual RAM to improve performance) optimally, you need to have at least half your HDD space free for memory management applications. This also likely explains some of the glitching people have been seeing with the game. It's pretty expansive and requires a lot of resources, if you run out, it crashes.

I installed both discs. You seem to believe me to be some kind of simpleton, easily confused of the difference between the numerical quantities of one and two.

I wasn't suggesting that, but rather that your installation is flawed. My ME 3 install is 15.6 GB, Disc 1 is 7.6 GB, Disc 2 is 7.0, ergo if your install is only 7 GB, you're missing something. Also I was pointing out that 4 GB is not really enough spare disc space to keep the game running smoothly.

Also, thanks to Microsoft's anti piracy crap the disks do spin a little even when installed.
