It only fires one projectile at a time. Shoot a wall, and you only see one hole.

Super highly accurate slug of doom! It dosen't really feel that shotgunny maybe, but being able to do damage at range without using a sidearm was

For the weight of the Crusader you could take a scoped Carnifex/Paladin which are better at range and a Wraith (which is better up close) and still have way better cooldowns. Or you could take the Saber which does everything the Crusader does, but better.

I'd take the Graal over the GPS any day of the week. At least then I get the super tight shot grouping.

I just tried playing around with the geth plasma shotgun, and man, the Wraith just destroys it in every way. Not only am I getting way less damage per shot uncharged (642 vs 831 at level X), but it weighs a lot more, reloads much slower, doesn't trigger ammo powers nearly as reliably (a Wraith shot is almost a guaranteed freeze/shock proc), and non-hitscan projectiles are annoying. To make things worse, the shots don't even track properly at long range, or if they do, the homing effect is too subtle to notice.

Also you get spikes sticking out of peoples chests, which is always a good feeling.

The Writh one the other hand is just so light for its shots damage, u can't beat it. And it reloads fast too, so the 2 shots isn't even much of a problem.

Edited to fix some terrible iPad autocorrect errors:
Have you tried cloaking right after you start charging the Geth Plasma Shotgun? If you start holding down left click to start charging, you can cloak anytime afterwards (can even mix in rolls and dodges) and you can fire a fully charged shot that will not decloak you if you release it yet you still get the bonus cloak damage. Mix this in with the ability to use a power while cloaked and you can do a ton of damage without ever leaving cloak, giving you time to run and hide and repeat with the enemies never seeing you.
Another neat trick is if you time the second shot correctly after a charged shot, you can get a second shot out that comes out pretty the same time as the charged shot with both sets of shots benefitting from the cloak damage. This will bring you out of cloak, but it's amazing burst that the Wraith simply cannot compare to.
And another thing that some people don't realize about the Geth Plasma Shotgun is that its projectiles home in to your targets if you hold right click while shooting, making it also very good at long range allowing you to hit targets far away with all the blue orbs.
With the Geth Plasma Shotgun, you should always have right click zoom down before you fire even if you're in close range, to make sure all 3 blue orbs hit your target.
The only downside in my opinion is the limited ammo capacity.

Shotguns in ME2 were almost useless outside of point blank range.
Except the geth plasma shotgun in ME2, that one was like a long range double shotgun.
It seems a bit nerfed in the third game though. Not nearly as accurate anymore, sadly.

It's still accurate. But it seems to require you to have to hold down the right click zoom longer (I hold down zoom for the whole duration of before releasing shots till when my last shots hit the target.) I can hit targets far way easily and I've rarely seen any blue orbs miss (they only miss if the target moves far enough so that the red rectangles around them disappear). And the damage fully charged is amazing (speaking from Insanity play and multiplayer Geth Gold solo.)

I'll give it a go though. I normally run with a level X Black Widow and a level X Valkyrie, but tbh the Valkyrie isn't that useful when you have a sniper. I need a CQB weapon, and this shotgun sounds perfect.
Cooldowns don't bother me. As long as the bonus is above 0% then I'm fine - on insanity the powers of an infiltrator aren't that great except cloak, and the recharges at just the right speed so that my shields are fully back at the same time as the cloak normally.

I have no clue, but the with the choke on its insanely accurate at range. So either the spread is very, very small, or it does fire slugs. Most cases I can one hit most targets at medium range and seriously wound at long distance to less than 1/4 health.
I think the only problem it has is how accurate it is, you miss by an inch and whatever you're trying to hit takes no damage.
crudader fire slug , it already stated in its description, it does damage even in sniper range

Yup, I know that the projectiles are supposed to home. I just didn't see it when I tried it. Maybe because I wasn't aiming long enough? The fast charge shot - regular shot thing is a holdover from ME2. It's useful, but I don't like the fact that I have to rely on charging to get good damage out of it. I don't know, I'll give it another chance, but I was highly unimpressed. I used the GPS a lot in ME2 because of the shield multiplier and longer range, and because the uncharged shots were actually pretty damn beefy, but it doesn't feel nearly as potent this time around.RinShepard wrote...

And what does everyone think of Mass Effect 3's favorite little honorary shotgun, the Talon? I absolutely love that thing, but that might just be because my two favorite weapon types and just about the only ones I use outside of an assault rifle on my Turian soldier in mp are pistols and shotties, and this gun's their little hybrid bastard child. Nothing like a pistol that can knock down Elcor though; thing kicks like a magnum.

The Disciple's not bad. Its very light, has a good rate of fire, and its stagger effect is pretty useful. Just doesn't do enough damage for my taste though.
Just picked it up myself and couldn't agree more with all that you said. Wondering if maybe investing enough into upgrading it would make its damage worthwhile too. I definitely like it even with the pretty low damag, so a rank X Disciple with the right mods might just kick ass.

Great, now I have to save up another 250,000 credits plus the extra 150,000 for all the levels for it. I doubt there are enough credits to make this possible until the end of the game now.

Why is everyone complaining about lack of money? I had a black widow by fairly early in the game and I had over 700k credits by the end of the game with absolutely nothing to spend it on bar upgrading weapons I never use.

I'm very, very bad at managing my funds; I want it all. And I want it now.
Right here. In my hands. On the Normandy. *clicks Buy It Now on procurement interface*
