Ok so most of us can agree that the ending was bad. I will get to that but I also think there are some other problems that need to be addressed as well. This post will outline problems that I see in Mass Effect 3 and dont get me wrong overall the game was exceptional but there are somethings missing. (side note: some of what i talk about are what I have read on other post so if I have something wrong please correct me :P )

First of all the Batarians. Ok so the Batarians got their a** kicked because the Reapers entered through their part of space. Ok that part makes sense. But are you telling me that if big old bad China invaded North Korea the North Koreans would say ok wipe us out. No, though the fight would be pretty lopsided in the way of the Reapers, you cant tell me this almighty Batarian force just got wiped out. Why cant we see what happened to them like the Turians and Asari, you cant tell me that advanced warning helped those races survive. The Batarians are a significant race to the Mass Effect Universe, especially if you are a War Hero character. I dont feel that the Batarians got their deserved time in the spotlight. Maybe they are getting kicked in the groin but what about their resistance.

Miranda. Ok so she fades in and out throughout the game but really thats all you get. This big character from 2 gets that??? Jacob fit better at least cause you could talk to him and get his background like most of the other characters in 2. And forgive me cause i havent done it but what about if you romanced her in 2? how the hell can you make that happen in three?

Tali. Really we get her for a few missions and thats it? you get a photoshopped picture of her for the romance? WTF? if you talk to Chakwas she says that they have extra antibiotics on the ship for her, why the hell then can you not actually have her for your romance scene?

They did an excellent job tying in the characters from the books into the game. But what happens to Kailey Sanders once she goes to the Crucible. Why, when they talk about Grayson a few times or Kai Lang, cant you ask about the history? Some may have never read the books and have no idea about these people. Hell, even those of us who have read them know whats going on but how would Shepard?

I expected more out of Aria. You're telling me that she wouldnt go stomp on Cerberus with Shepard to take back Omega? Not the Aria that I know. She would amass another group and take it back especially now that she knows the Reapers are here and its a strong hold for Cerberus.

Harbinger. Really thats all we got? a reaper that shoots a laser that cant vaporize anyone? The big ol' baddy from two with the thrilling "you have only postponed it, get ready for the Arrival." Nothing in 3?

Now everyones favorite: The End!!! Now lets assume that the three choices are plausible endings and Bioware should keep them. Cool. I can argue that the Mass Effect Field around the Citidel is making it so they can breathe, thus why anyone walking on the Citidel can. other than the sounds of the ships blowing up around them that should be physically possible. Also I can argue that the Paragon Option (destroy the reapers and not control them, thus why Anderson is the one you see shooting it) it is plausible why Jeff (joker) is running so that he can save EDI. But why is he running in the other two choices as well? Dont even get me started on the problem of them surviving a crash when going faster than light. So we assume that these can stay then we need two things, 1) clarity on what happens to our crew after our choice (why are they on the Normandy? what happens after the wave comes out and F's everything up) and 2) What happens to the galactic civilizations? (Side Note: I did notice when you are running for the Tower thing and Harbinger is shooting his laser, your squad is nowhere to be seen.)

Also, going off of what a lot of people think, there needs to be added another ending. Something that is on the Very hard to extremely hard side to get. Like make it so you need 7500 in War Assets meter or something too which in affect can give people the happy ending they are looking for. Most people I think were ok with the choices except for the fact that it didnt give us closure. If they left the three choices and added closure I think most people would be ok, because they know their sacrifice meant something. But then if you add this other ending where you can only get it with a large War Asset forcing people to do everything in the game or play MP, it gives you a happy ending. Something like you tell the Catalyst to stick it and we dont need the Crucible and we can take on the Reapers. This is where your decisions take affect. For example, having the Racni as allies Makes it so that the Quarians take less loss and thus saving the Species or having the Biotic kids from Grissom Academy sit in the back rather than fight lowers total losses of all species potentially saving them. This is where all choices you made over the whole series comes into play. Even something small like whether Jack surviving the suicide mission in 2 boastes the stats because the Grissom Academy kids are stronger. This would give a challenge and an ending that most of us had expected, at least in my opinion
