for me it, was the best game I've ever played. Period.

up until the platform started moving and I ran into Casper.

So, without flaming or going into another rant thread about the end, what did you guys think about the REST of ME3?

Another thread with my other impressions: social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/355/index/9731428

I liked ME2 a bit more, but just a bit. ME3 is very good.

Ignoring the ending it is one of the best games I've played for the past 2 or 3 cycles(console generations).

Too bad I cant ignore the ending...

Cant unsee what you have already seen. It was certainly as good as the other two up until that point.

After that I would have done anything to rewind time and never have bought the game. It destroyed an entire game, and an entire franchise in the blink of an eye.

Easily the worst game ive played in a long time.  You know how good ME's are, so that should give you an idea of just how bad the ending was.

If I ignore everything after you say goodbye to everyone in London then yes ME3 was the best. That and ignore the bugs but the other games had their own bugs too that shipped. I played it for 25 hours straight it was so good. I then took a nap got back up and finished it. The entire way through the game I was thinking this is one of the best games ever made.

Sadly this ending colors not only ME3 but ME1 and ME2 as well.

Yes. And maybe that's why the Ending just seems to hurt so much. I really wanted something else. I can't even wrap my head around what that is. Just seems..disjointed..like there's something missing that should be there.

But honestly? The game is stunningly powerful. I literally cried a couple of times, I was so moved. I'll probably playthrough a couple of times, at least to see if I can get anymore assets gathered together. And I'll be keeping my fingers crossed there's eventually something added that fills in the blanks that really broke my heart right there at the end.

Ignoring the ending ME3 is freaking fantastic game where I would now be salivating for DLC. It may even edge out 2 as the best. The journey was great but when instead of going to Disney World I ended up at a County Fair.

If I could ignore the ending then I'd say GotY.

If.

After stewing over it for a while, I realized the game has far more weak points than I'd originally thought, somewhat dampening the experience in retrospect. I'd say it dropped from 9/10 to 8/10 as a result.

Add the ending, and we have one of the most massive disappointments I've ever experienced - it literally killed the entire series. 6/10.

Absolutely amazing. Barring a few things, such as the removal of the middle dialogue option and flat-out lying about it. I question how they handled Jacob's romance. But the rest of it was really my favorite game, and the first game I really felt the same thrill I get reading a really exciting novel.

Which is why the endings are so baffling. Its like they outsourced the ending. There are people who legitimately believe this is still some sort of elaborate troll by bioware- that is how unbelievable the endings are.

The fact that it was a very nice experience makes the ending's damage even worse...

As I've said in other threads, everything about ME3 prior to the ending was awesome. In fact I would say it's a close second to my favorite ME game: Mass Effect 1.

And I would consider replaying ME3 too. I would just stop the game right before the end.

Absolutely amazing. Emotionally charged, fun gameplay, beautiful score. Would have honestly been the best modern game I've played if not for the ending.

Me2 > me3, IMO. Definitely a great game that caused me to constantly have something in my eye, but some of the slip ups caused me to lose immersion quite a bit.

I loved ME3. I loved having my Garrus and Ashley squad back like the good old days in ME1. I loved the race against time to bring all the races together to work together towards peace and a brighter future. I loved the feeling of elation after succesfully setting aside age old conflicts between races and uniting the diverse galaxy. I loved the character interactions, just when I thought Garrus couldn't be any more awesome he became an even more awesome bro.

I loved ME3. I don't even hate the endings, I just have mixed feelings and am very confused.

If you were having a good day, and then you got shot late in the evening, could you ignore the ending?
