So I tried to load my save this morning, and it said the EA servers were offline. I don't play multiplayer so that wasn't a problem. But now whenever I load my save, it says:

The selected save can not be loaded. The following content is missing: From Ashes

It told me to put origin in online mode, which I did, and still no fix? Why is this happening? Can't play. Need to get to the "horrible ending" everyone is talking about.

Also I'd like to clarify that I bought the collectors edition, which included the DLC. Now I cant play the DLC OR play the game. Looks like that $80 could have been better spent.

I've got the same problem. Hey Bioware, howzabout a one-time authentication on DLC's instead of at each startup so I don't have to deal with this BS?

Same here. I can't play the single player part cause servers are down. Are you kidding me?

I also have the same problem. Unless the initial automatic communication between the game and servers is successful, it won't let me load my save file with the same error FaWa is getting. I am in online mode in origin and after that initial time out I can connect to EA servers manually by the button on the main menu, but it will not load my save.

This problem needs to be addressed. This DRM is stupid. I already authorized all my content through Origin, have to have Origin running to play it, and yet I have to check in game also every single time. Your punishing your honest customers who paid 80 dollars for your game. I have a network problem or you have a server problem; I am not a thief.

So, Bioware....any fix or way to handle this issue at all? Every single day since I bought the game I have had to spend 15-20 minutes trying to get into the game because of some nonsense DLC authorization. It is authorizing DLC that I've already played by the way, so that adds an extra bit of absurdity to the issue. It tells me I have to log into the Alliance Network, but 1) I don't know what that is and 2) I should not have to do that since, as I said, I ALREADY PLAYED IT.

I was having this problem too, up through last night and started a thread on it.

I found some advice to remove references in the HOSTS file to servers at ea.com, but when I looked I didn't have any. Then I found a reference to deleting a file called OnlineProfile.profile, which can be found at \\My Documents\\BioWare\\Mass Effect 3\\BIOGame\\Config within your Windows user folder.

I deleted this, shut down and then restarted Origin, then started ME3, and presto I was able to get everything validated and to load and play my save game.

Give it a try. I know it's frustrating!

Oh no, I'm sorry! I know even if this works for people (or else the HOSTS file thing), there is still a really big problem here. I'm not expecting to have to do this for every bit of DLC I buy and if it does continue I won't buy any more. This stuff is supposed to either work or nobody goes home until it does. Those are the expectations I get on my job and I've only got 200 people to worry about so why would this be any less urgent? There couldn't have been that many problems with individual systems - everyone connected for ME1 and 2 right?

I just got done having a conversation with EA customer support. They had me clear out my Temp folder and for me it worked. I'm running on Windows 7. If you're unsure how to access your Temp folder:

Computer>Local Disk(C:)>Temp

It took me going to Twitter to get any Bioware response on this, for future reference.

Your temp folder? Really? I can't imagine what that would have to do with resolving DNS or anything else to do with rpc or other services concerned with connecting to an external server, but congrats anyways! ^_^

I had this issue also, the solution was that I had to connect to origin and switch it to 'offline mode' then I could load saves without the DLC error "The following content is missing: From Ashes"

This is not a solution I want.

Hard drives crash, online accounts get hacked, websites go down....all of which make digital copies of games useless. Having physical media removes those issues.

FORCING a person to log into ANY online service to play a single player game is just ridiculous. I shouldn't have to launch a retail purchased copy of a game using an online game management service otherwise what is the point of getting a retail copy?

ok guys, sorry to latch on this thread, but..
wondering.
I just got my collector's edition.. I'm already installing ME3 as I speak, while most of the codes are already activated in my profile in social.bioware.com
it is still not accepting my collector's code to get FROM ASHES.

what the hell is going on?

disregard last message, it seems the code was not usable in social.bioware.com but in the main origin window.. it is loading now.
yikes, they should put the instructions correctly as the flier says social.bioware.com

Aquarius88' fix worked for me. If you haven't tried it yet then do it. Just delete the temp folder.
