Closure!
I think ALL the fans were looking forward to was finding out what happen to all the characters they cared about, as well as all the civilizations they interacted with.
If there had been a proper Epilogue like in Dragon Age: Origins, Fallout Series, and etc. then I think a lot of people could have forgiven the whole Destroy vs Control aspect.
As for the Relays getting destroyed I think there should of been an option to save them with enough Readiness. Just like if you choose the destroy option with too few forces the destroy wave wipes out life on Earth in a fireball instead of just the reapers. The saving of the Relays is just another measure of success.
Even with the destruction of the relays perhaps in a proper Epilogue they could mention they are rebuilding the relay network with the tech learned from building the Crucible.
Simple thing BW could of done to make ending more Acceptable to fans

I liked the ending, but yeah an epilogue would have been very nice.

I actually liked the endings. The only problem I had with it is that the relays get destroyed in all of them...
Anyway, Shepard dies in all of the endings. (Except for Control, technically...I guess) How would a playable epilogue work? Geth Shepard?
Edit: Nevermind me. I realized that you were talking about having a 'Where are they now?' montage; not a playable epilogue.

+1 to having an epilogue of sorts. We're given some glimpses of it during the game (if you settled the Geth-Quarian conflict, that the Geth are helping the Quarians out) - but that's before the final battle/slaughter.

I loved it so much up til the last few mins T_T made my playthrough feel wasted.
the LI scene on earth before the final rush I loved so much. my shep promised to see kaidan at the end. And what happens? Shep dies. kaidan, joker and Javik get stranded. And thats it. What happened? Quarians? geth? Guys? T_T

I liked it as an ending...more endings options are needed to complete the game yes yes.
