Shep: How is it inevitable? how do you know that Synthetics will always destroy their creators.
Catalyst: They will build great structures enhancing their minds seeing truths of the galaxy (legions 5th me2 talk), Their Intelligence will eventually out pace any organics mind, to them you will be obsolete. in the decades to come they will learn to master dark energy as we have(haestrom). But it wont end at that, they will soon realize how to use it to travel and conquer other galaxies doing the same there, Evenetually they will seek to rewrite the universe itself (edis thoughts conv),
Shep: Why not just have the reapers act as gaurdians, Wiping out synthetics when they revolt?
Catalyst: An inevitable outcome is that the Synthetics will eventualy grow more advanced than us, It will happen faster than any organics can percieve, Neither us or your kind can afford to wait for that to happen.
Shep: Who made you?
Catalyst: We are what came before the crucicble. Like the crucible we are the product of the cumulative knowledge from the earliest civilizations. We originate from the original synthetic revolts. Billions years ago.

As a rule i dont do fan fic... but JUST A FEW lines of dialouge like this would have vastly made the ending more stomachable. lterally you get to choose to say something about hope or choice, then decide red, green or blue it feels rushed and not thought out... and even worse an intentional and total coitus interruptus.
ps: why no cutaways to my friends grunt wrex samara etc on earth to let me know if they make it, why not heroic last stand scene if they didn't, Shep dies- cool i expected some form of martyrdom, normandy crashed in parts unknown-- cool means theres room for more adventures for the crew.
in summary:

Retour en haut
