I played through the game and saw the crappy endings, but I was wondering if playing through the game a second time raises your EMS?

mine was around 3200-ish so I didn't get the scene with Shepard breathing at the end, I was confused how I didn't have enough points, especially since I did nearly all the sidequests (except 2 I believe). saved the Geth and the Quarian fleets, cured the genophage, etc etc...

anyway, when you play the game again (importing ME3 character) do you get bonus EMS or do you need to raise it all again from 0?

if anyone has any tips about how to get the scene where Shepard is breathing I'd appreciate it. thanks =)
