Honestly, I like this. What was the point of doing all of those pointless sidequests, grinding and grinding, if, in the end, it doesn't matter. It would be a hard ending to acheive, for sure, but if we put in the effort, shouldn't we have a chance to win on our own terms without bowing to the demands of the reaper god.
That wasn't MY Shepard at the ending. MY Shepard would pointed his finger right at the reaper-god-child and said, "Hey, Reaper-God-Child - F@#k You! I put in the effort and united the galaxy! I don't need to bow to your wishes, I'll kick your @ss the old fashioned way!"
In case you have not read it - an excellent idea to tweak the ending without completely changing it
