ME3 has some amazing missions. Some of my favourite scenes in the whole trilogy have come from ME3:
-Seeing the Turian fleets, and then Palaven burning on the mission to rescue the Primarch
-The Geth collective
-Mordin's and Thane's deaths
-The 'horror' elements: the Rachni caves; the opening of the Ardat-Yakshi mission
-Seeing Grunt make it out of the Rachni caves alive: I assumed he'd die
-The underground halls on Tuchunka, followed by seeing their forgotten city
-The Prothean flashbacks in From Ashes
-Many of the squad banter sequences
-The bro-date with Garrus
The dark sections that involve the torch have generally been particularly excellent imo. Seeing the old Krogan art in their abandoned tunnels was a great section, and the foray into mild horror with the dark sections of the Rachni caves and the Ardat-Yakshi temple were brilliantly atmopsheric. Indeed, I think these scenes were some of the most atmopsheric in the trilogy. I'd rate the Tuchunka section up there with Vigil.
I should add that after 20 hours I've just started the missions on Rannoch, so I'm aware that there are quite a few more missions to go and hopefully there will be some great scenes in them. That its taken me this long shows just how much content there is here.
Its not all amazing; the opening is rushed, and unfortunately the endings - while suitably bleak for a Reaper war - are poorly executed, riddled with plotholes and seem to go against the 'spirit' of Mass Effect. However, this is not what I'd like to discuss in this thread. There are enough threads on the endings already.
So, what are some of your favourite scenes/missions from ME3?
What are your favourite scenes?
