Halo 4 anyone?

That just sounds like they're trying to milk some more off a finished game. Reach was good, but I could tell that they were running out of breathing space in that series. Especially when they decide to re-release the first game just for more money.

Maybe it's all a ploy. A month before the GOTY awards are voted for, BW releases a free DLC ending that gets the voters thinking about the game again. Then maybe it will have the legs to make it.

 speaking pesonally it's not mine.

If i play say Prey 2, Assassin's Creed 3, Dishonored, Bioshock Infinite, or the new Tomb Raider

all of which are games i'm highly anticipating.

I can with good measure of accuracy say that all those games won't pull a complete turn around bitter end to everything.

At least we know that AC3, BI, and TR will probably have a consistent story that makes sense for the fiction they've created.

Prey 2 and Dishonored i cannot say for sure yet.

Nah. I am in favor of Borderlands 2 now. The ending ruined this game for me.

I would hope it wouldn't , since the ending ruins the entire series.

if you want your voice heard louder got to my blog which I have a link too in my Sig , click on my ME3 review and click on the links to my polls.

1. would you Boycott Bioware if they don't fix the endings
2. do you believe Multiplayer should have no impact on the single player campaign
3. Facebook Campaign demand better endings for ME3

for a number of the game of the year award, u need fans voting the game. I will not vote for ME 3 for it because of the ending. Loved it otherwise, but the ending ruined the whole game for me. Not even 1 week of play for me and i am back playing Star Wars the Old Republic. Sad :(

Well Bethesda and Skyrim can apparently run for this year`s GOTY, becaus it was released in quarter 4 of last year. I just read that on youtube, so if it`s wrong, ok.
But if that is correct, than ME3 will have a very tough competition, Skyim has already gotten alot of GOTY awards.

Ofcourse it will. Game of the Year is like New York Times Bestseller - it's not about how good the game is but how well it's marketed.

By any logic it shouldn't be. Multiplayer content is fine, but it's also limited how much content there actually is, any decent multiplayer based games will easily be better than ME3; Halo, CoD(as much as I hate that game) or Diablo 3. For gameplay, at this point it isn't the best game in terms of that either, several games even existing prior to its release is better. What ME3 made it unique was its ultra-engaging storyline, and they [f]ed it up. I just fail to see them going anywhere beyond maybe a nomination.

It most definitely shouldn't be after that craptastic ending.

It still may get it, however, but right now I will take a game like KoAR over ME3. And we've still got some great games coming this year: Diablo 3 and Heart of the Swarm, hopefully.

I found the ending crushing, but it doesn't change the objective fact that the rest of the game is pretty darn good. Games of the Year don't have to be flawless, they just have to be the best. The industry reviews are, for the most part, accurate in their scores, I think.

And the problem is just in the plot choice in the last five minutes. The quality of the dialogue itself, the music, the visuals, the stability are top notch even in the ending.

Our reaction to the ending is significant, but it's amplified by the fact that we're fans.

I doubt EA is that influencial enough to stop Blizzard from its track as well. Anything EA has done to pre-market ME3, Diablo 3 is bound to be even greater in marketing scale. You have the entire globe waiting for the game unlike ME3 where it's still only 'heavily' popular on the Western hemisphere.

Yes, it might be game of the year.

Depends on who is voting, reviewers or the consumers

Got to look at the entire Global Fanbase, not just us on a few forum websites.. Then think of all the people that do not voice their opinion.

Do I think it will make GOTY, Since I love the ME universe, I wish the outcome would have been better so it can get GOTY that it deserves, as it is right now, Personally it dose not deserve it. All we can do is wait for the actual result.

Editor's who are in the backpocket of EA will most certainly try to make it game of the year. "Indie" reviewers who are not on the EA dole will probably be a little more honest in their GotY choices.

Game of the year?!??!??!!! Well I guess most disappointing game of the year would certainly be a lock but nothing but vote buying would redeem the game in it's current state.

If I erase everything after Shepard hits the citidale in the final battle then yes, but it's just not a good enough shooter to warrent a game of the year, and the ending was just flat.

It's almost like bioware's has planned a mass effect 3-2. Just so little closure with what happened to everyone

Will it be in the running? Most definitely. Should it win? Not with its current ending.

I think the end of the game is junk, but the ending is only 5 minutes. The hours before the ending are excellent, the best is to just pretend the canonical endings never happened. Just blank out that last 5 mins and you have not only game of the year, but game of the decade.

EA will buy the game of the year award, most likely.
