Hi,
I just finished the game on normal difficulty, the final wave of the defending missle trucks, my word, I count at least three banshees and no-one knows how many marauders?
I barely managed to get through on normal difficulty. May I ask, what is your way of doing it with insanity?
Anyone who finished the game with insanity, come in

The same here. You can't win it, I suppose. The banshees are respawning, so no matter how many you kill. You have to run around and revive your team until the timer runs out. Then, launch the missiles.
PS. I, actually, would also like to know if anyone tried to fight this fight on insanity, because there is no build at around lvl40, which can hold 2-3 banshees converging onto you.

Played through the whole game on Insanity. I never play at any other difficulty level. Adept class for my first playthrough.
If you manage your squad builds, by then end they are all tanks. You can fight off a ton of Banshees, but if you just stay in one spot, you will eventually get overwhelmed. Grenades and multiple warp squadmates are helpful.
Also, I was level 58 or 59 at this point, so I'm sure that helped as well.

izmirtheastarach , the fact that you used an imported character made all the difference. With a new character this battle is hard on normal, considering that you can have only 2 biotics with warp, including you.

I played vanguard and owned insanity. At some point my biotic charge got around 2.60 secs and I just decided to blow things away with biotic explosions and flanking to have some competition.
The last wave is easy if you stand on the beam's path, thus allowing you to kill the banshees instantly (or rather the reaper does). After that new banshees come and all you need to do is run for it until you can fire the missiles.
I didn't hear that I should activate the missiles until I actually saw them able to click. I think I killed around 6 banshees by then so they probably respawn until you fire the missiles or die.
Frankly speaking, I'm not sure how I'd fare with another class. It's probably going to be a lot more difficult.

I played on Insanity with an imported Soldier and "gave up" right at the end ... Banshees, Brutes, Harvestors, uggg. I've been told that I did some things flat out wrong and figured out other things myself. When [If?] I get over the whole ending thing I'm going back to finish my Insanity run and see what I can do.

I did an Adept on Insanity and that mission is all about survival, not killing. The Vanguard has it the easiest since by definition, Vanguards are extremely mobile. You have to constantly be on the move and focus on killing Marauders since the Banshees will just respawn. Marauders are what kill you in that fight (or Banshee grab) since they are just taking pot-shots at you while you focus on the Banshees.
In other words, stick and move - kill Marauders when you can - leave the Banshees alone.

I ran it as a soldier on insanity. Brought Garrus and James. I overloaded and the gunned at one banshee until it's barrier dropped, switched to my Black Widow, popped adrenaline rush, and preceded to shoot the ugly of her face as well as throwing mines and grenades her way. After 2-3 of them, the missiles came online, i rushed again and sprinted for it, popped a medigel along the way, and ended the fight.

I've been playing Insanity Soldier, unimported. It was a little hard at first, then I started going for CC powers (like cyro ammo) and really big guns on squaddies, and difficulty has dropped drastically.
I have yet to figure out the hard-hitting power combos, but I've heard about stuff like 2-shotting Brutes w. Sabotage/Incinerate and such... I'll need to look into those eventually.

finished insanity with imported infiltrator. Loadout: valiant(imho best singleplayer sniper + carniflex). On last wave killed two banshees after that my squaddies went down so I cloaked and run to truck.
My feeling is that me2 was far more difficult.

Anti-armor ammos and combo(tech burst/biotic explosion) is your friend. Keep moving, keep your medi-gel up, and don't forget about the Hydra missile launcher immediately to your left when you spawn. It's hidden away in a shelf.

Well ****, Arkha is alive.
I pretty much ran around the small building once the wave of Banshees and marauders came in. Once the missiles hit I just rolled out into the street, and ran B-line to the missiles.

Yeah, Infiltrator and Vanguard are easy mode. There's not an incredible difference between the difficulty levels.
I haven't finished my Vanguard run yet, but for Infiltrator all I did was sit in one building, wait for the banshees to come over, and then cloak run across the street. There's a fair chance the reaper will nuke everyone for you if you keep them loitering in the center.

I used a soldier for this on hardcore with Liara and Vega. I had absolutely no trouble with it, but I don't know how much worse insanity will be.

Sentinel, moved around a lot, and used medi-gel like it was going out of style. (Also imported so was level 58) It was one of the crazy survival fights in the game and I loved every minute of it. Got surrounded once by three banshees, totally thought I was dead, but I managed to combat roll away and over some cover. Missiles popped online and I just hauled ass to them.

Well i feel the same but maybe it is because we are more used to the game mechanics and every attack works like a charm, specially if most of the thugs are unshielded on insanity. The result is a bigger biotic party than the last game. With the bubble as guest star.
Playing this game on insanity was a lot of fun, as usual.

I've completed the game on insanity on my first run through with an import. It was rough in a couple of spots but very do-able. Only problem that I had for the last half of the game was not having enough firepower from my weapons. Having a mark V weapon with limited upgrades wouldn't do much vs most of the mobs, so I had to rely on my powers to get through.
My second play through is much easier with a max character and decent weapons now. I'm practically destroying things now. Fun, fun.

Basically just move a lot.
If youre an infiltrator, just cloak, run around and run to the truck once its ready
