So I think I figured out why we got the really crappy three Deus Ex endings..... its money!

Its all a setup for a Mass Effect MMO, with all the races stuck in one system peace is impossible!
The lack of any information at the end gives them room to do whatever they want with the MMO its ingenius and conniving and all about the money.Posted Image

I think OP means "Deus Ex", where the game plays the game until a point at which you have a choice of three buttons to push that... does something.

There will never be a ME MMO. Never.

BW/EA will count themselves *very* lucky if they ever recoup their investment in the TOR MMO -they sure as hell won't artificially lessen their chances to do so by creating their own competition in the form of a ME MMO.

This is EA we're talking about, they never seem to make smart decisions.

The thing I hate about this interpretation is that it means they will never fix this ending. What comes next is set enough in stone that it can't change.

Yeah if I wanted to play Deus Ex again (any of them really as they had similiar endings) I would have played that instead of ME. However in the Deus Ex series the endings fit as it was building up towards those decisions the entire game and it gave you the little epilogue sequence that told you what happened to what and info on how your actions affected the future instead of what crew magically survive depending on what button you press as thats really all the endings came down to for me was who I'll see walk out of the ship lol.

Yeah, and if they keep the current ending, only a small minority of past customers will consider buying it.

There is a lot of thread about what the ending sucks. Three things the majority agree for is :

- Dont make sense at all
- Your choice dont matter
- No closure

I seriously doubt that BioWare/EA will attempt to make an ME MMO. They already have TOR and would have to build another infrastructure to run it, costing massive amounts of upfront money while they're still trying to recoup money from the development of TOR and ME3.

I'm not even kidding if one more person says it was deus ex machina some one will be slapped, what is so difficult to understand about deus ex machina?  It does not qualify as a deus ex machina becuase you were working for the damn thing the whole time, it did not miraculously show up at the exact last second.  The number of people who don't know what this term means but still use is frankly astounding.

Yeah it was just bad writing not deus ex machina, I think people get it confused when people say its ripped off the Deus Ex game endings lol

Bioware won't turn Mass Effect into an MMO because it would alienate their biggest base of fans. The console players. MMO's are boring as hell and I refuse to pay a monthly fee to play ONE game.

But what world will it be? A world full of cyborgs, only organics or ...whatever the third ending does. Obviously even if there is an MMO it cannot continue after ME3. ME3 is the end. Even if they make other ME's it will be pre-Reaper invasion.

Think as time goes by, we will find that the story was hacked and cut because of the Leaked original story. Instead of just dealing with the fact that a few people will read the leak. (I never did or would) they decided to basically chop up the story and place god boy instead of the real ending...

Thats what happened.. In feel it in my soul now. The game was basically done, and voice acted.... Didn't they have to bring back The people that played the Shepards to redo some voice acting?

Because in the end after this scene the only people talking are sheppard and god boy.

An MMO in one system where the worlds are burned and supplies low? Ok.

They'd probably go with the control the reapers and they leave ending. Without shepard people would assume shep died and the reapers left because of the weapon, never to be seen again. However always in fear of them returning. This would leave room for a MMO with all the fleets in one system battling for control of the resources and what not of the planets. Its an easy idea, theres enough lore, and definately room for continuous expansions and technology. I think thats why they added the multiplayer to ME3 to gauge how the combat systems and mechanics could work in an MMO.

They almost already did...

Estimated 200-250 million dollar budget....

At all 2 million that bought the game (Assuming all standard edition and no CE/DDE) = 120  million

1.7 million subs through the first 2 months = 51 million

= 171 million dollars (But note that not all the 2 million copies sold were the $60 base game, so its more $ )

I'd say being pretty close to breaking even in what? 3 months? Is pretty good :P

I'd say if SWTOR keeps its current track we could very well see a ME MMO, I just hope its action based and sandbox :3
