All in all, I can deal with ending. No, I'm not happy with it but I never expected it to turn turn out the way I hoped for. I can except that shepard dies (even though I got the "breath intake" ending), I can except my squad crashing on a strange planet, and I can except that ALL the mass relays are now gone ("best" red ending for me.) What I can NOT beleive is the woefully bad "shyamalan" twist where we only get vital information in the last 10 min of gameplay. Seriously what the **** happened?! So the citadel controlls the reapers?! So some other beings made the reapers (god child?!?!) This feels like KOTR2 all over again.
I at least expected some sort of closure to the game in the form of a this-is-what-happpens-to-who senario based on your choices for all the importnat supporting characters and at LEAST an Halo 3 esque end for Shep ( like he is transported to another galaxy for fight the reaper creators or something that at least gave me the feeling of a job well done but there is more work to do.) I would even be alright with Shep just dying. I thought that the bad ending of ME2 where Shep dies had more closure than this and I deffinetly felt more acomplished at the end of that game.
Anyway, share what you thought the ending would be like befor you finished it. I'm currious to know where others figured this game was heading before the "big suprise" ending that we all got.
What did you envision your ending being?

Nothing in particular, I was expecting a good story, and I got that. I was expecting the old crowd, I got that. I hoped for some quite emotional moment I got that.
I really like that companion had something to say about the mission you just completed, that the LI actually shows tenderness and affection, that we Sheppard is not he only one having a relationship.
The symbiosis ending does quite work with the decisions I have made along the 3 games.
I like that they changed the premises of the ending from “let save the galaxy once more” to “well buster you and the universe as you know it, got done but you can chose how bad and what comes for the next cycle”.
My problem with the endings as they are is that:
As such the control and destroy ending does not really work with the decision I have made.
And
What the hell happened to the companion with me on the last chapter? If they died they did deserve a proper offing like the one for Thane or Morin. And how did the one that survived managed to get from earth to Normandy?
So it ended up a bit low key and quite un-emotional. Sot it was a bit of a let down.
