What would you suggest.

Max Overload and then what? Max incinerate? Drone? Fitness?

I was thinking max overload+incinerate then what? I'm thinking of totally ignoring drone

I was getting very good results in Silver with max Overload/Incinerate and a light weapon. I'd put a few points into the drone just so it'll blow up when someone attacks it ;)

It's an acceptable but unexciting choice for Gold. Either Salarian and the Turian Sentinel are all far superior choices for shield rips.

I'd go three into the Drone and pass on either the last rank of Incinerate (if your weapon isn't upgraded to the point where you are at/near 200%) or the last rank of Alliance Training (if your weapon is).

I've been doing Gold with my Human Engineer and finishing in the top 2 slots.

Here is what I have,

Incinerate Maxed:  Damage, Recharge, Armor Bonus, and Area effect upgrades.

Overload Maxed:  Damage, Recharge, Chain Lighting upgrades for 3 targets.

Drone Maxed:  Damage, Shield Buff, Rocket upgrade.  NO self-destruct, total waste.  With the Rocket upgrade, you'll want the drone lasting as long as possible since the Drone can do excelletn long range damage.  So even if the Drone gets to fire off a single extra rocket due to the extra shielding, the Drong has already done more damage than the explosion would have done.

Fitness and Alliance remaining points:  Weight Bonus, Shielding, Power Damage, and recharge bonus.

What this will do is give you maximum Power-DPS, since the Engineer is basically a caster class.  The Drone is an excellent ally when maxed, possibly better than some human allies lol.   It also gives you minor shielding and health bosts.

Excellent, excellent class when sepcced right.

Thanks I played it a lot in demo, but didn't really spec right. Now I have a spare re-spec card so when I hit 20 I'll go for a final build

I use a 6/0/6/6/6 Build... To me this was most effective.

Incinerate needs a buffing, it's too weak IMO. Using the Combat Drone and spamming Overload worked well for me.

I use one 66653 and one 06666 build. I use the second one for a mixed weapons/powers build, usually a Harrier. It's more fun to play your casters like the soldier they are.

I take a Rocket Drone on my male, and a Suicide Drone on my female. Both play well in gold and plat, but I have more fun with the male's build.

I'm currently going with a 3/6/6/5/6 build. Using an disciple x for the increased stagger chance, makes it easier to follow up an overload with an incinerate and the drone is great for distractions.

This is my build 5/6/6/6/3

Combat Drone: Detonate, Shock
Incinerate: Damage, Burning Damage, Armor Damage
Overload: Chain Overload, Recharge Speed, Shield Damage
Alliance Training: Damage & Capacity, Power Bonus, Weapon Damage
Fitness: 3

I've taken him on Gold and Platinum, he works well and can offer both support and offense. Can even solo when the other members are down. :)

I would say Overload is definitely the best power at the HE's disposal and Drone is too good to pass up. I have one specced without Incinerate and the extra Drone/Passives/Health allow me to stay out of cover shooting things faster. Remember to always have a Drone out there!

Rocket drone is very good.

Single target incin and single target overload can also be very handy.

I use Eviscerator too.

I use a 3/6/6/5/6 build that works well. I max incinerate for damage and armor damage and in overload I spec for multiple targets, incapacitate weaker enemies, and shield damage. I use drone simply as a decoy or a distraction. I've started using it with my Indra VI and I like the combination: decent damage and a good cool down.

I redid a build for oveload spam and using the falcon made cc easy peasy. With the falcon's weight reduction and some cryo, mobs were going down left and right. Indra is also a good choice.

I max everything but fitness and run my female human engineer just fine on gold. Chain Overload takes care of mob shields, Incinerate for armor and my drone makes a handy distraction for Primes if nothing else; They always seem drawn to it the second I spawn it near them, lol.

I use my Hurricane on her.

I had a oversupply of disruptor ammo, slapped a Saber 1, Carn X, and Omni-Cap 3 and she did very well

Overload: 6 - Damage+, Stun Enemies, Damage+ and 1 Jump
Combat Drone: 6 - Damage/Shields+, Damage/Shields+, Missiles
Engineer: 6 - Power Damage+, Power Damage+, [Whatever you want]
Fitness: 6 - Health/Shields+, Shield Recharge, Health/Shields+

I use this build regularly, and the only change I make is either the weapon damage or weight reduction depending on the weapon I use (which is the Harrier, mostly.)

I go 6/6/6/5/3, holding a Hurricane (Tempest if that's unavailable) with AP rounds. Keep the Drone out at all times, and spam your powers every time they're available. And keep the dodge button handy, because you will most likely be dodging a lot. I gotta tell you, it's so much fun :)

I use 6/0/6/6/6 form my female engineer.

Combat Drone: Shield and damage 40%/40%, Shield and Damage 50%/50% and Rockets. I want my drone to last.

Overload: Chain Overload, Neural Shock and Shield and Barrier Damage. I overload them first then I finish them of with the assault rifle or pistol. Also it damages the Banshee barriers greatly (Well that is on silver anyway).

Alliance Training: Weapon damage, Power damage, and Weapon damage.

Fitness: Durability, Shield recharge and Fitness expert.

Weapons I use is the M99-Sabra with Ext Barrel and ARP mod and Phalanx with PP mod and Pistol High Cab barrel II. With those two weapons I get Power recharge speed of +14%.

I only got the Phalanx last Saturday night and have not use it on the engineer yet. But, I am using on the Human Adapt and its a fine pistol. I cannot wait to use it on the engineer.

am I the only one who thinks suicide drone is much more useful than rocket drone? I'd much rather distract an Atlas by making it turn its slow ass around to hit my drone than have a bit more ranged DPS. And don't get me started on how great a distraction they are for brutes/banshees.

I run 5/6/6/5/4

Drone: shock and explode
Incinerate: damage, burning damage, armor damage
Overload: chain, recharge, shield damage

alliance training to max out power damage, and rest into fitness for durability. I use the hurricane as my only weapon.

I don't usually bother with incinerate at all, since it's so easily dodged. If it hit reliably, it would be useful to whittle down troopers and armored units, but I don't usually bother. I give more love to the Drone, which is a great distraction. When fighting reapers, Banshees will get distracted and can't hit it except for their area attack, making it relatively easy to whittle them down. With Cerberus, they drop down right behind Guardians, Atlases, etc., letting you hit them from behind if you don't have armor piercing mods. Their electrical attacks against Geth don't really need a lot of explanation.

use the following:

6/6/6/5/3

combat drone: detonate, shock, chain
overload: chain, neural, chain
incinerate: damage, burn, armor damage
alliance: power, power
fitness: first 3

weps: tempest + phalanax or tempest + scorpion

Gear: Omni capacitors
Armor:Cyclonic Modulator
Ammo:Disrupter
Wep: Smg or Pistol Amp

this build will give you the game's best tech burster with a 200% recharge rate, excellent crowd control, boss distracting abilites and a relable counter to armor, barriers and shields.

You call drone self-destruct a waste? Your not using Neural shock on Overload when it gives a bonus to organics?  You do not understand this class.
