 When I try to do the mission on dekuuna there is nothing on the planet, i.e no option to scan it etc. What is meant to be there?

I had this also, turned out I scanned the planet earlier and that counts towards the mission, just talk to the Elcor Mission giver and it will complete.

If you've already done the other Dekuuna mission, than it won't show up on the scanner. Simply talk to the Elcor Ambassador again and the mission will be resolved.

I ran into this too, had all ready scanned and just had to go back later and talk to the guy.

Elcor Flotilla (Ambassador's Mission) is on Oltan (Dekunna's moon?), the Code of the Ancients is on Dekunna (Elcor by Purgatory Mission).

I too wanted to see elcor fighting but alas it was not to be.

I'd already scanned it by the time I got the mission, went out there and then had to go all the way back back...oh well. Some things in the this game are not clear. Your journal should have saved you the trouble of doing that.
