I believe the Origin program removed my save files for some reason while I was playing multiplayer last night.  I played for about 12 hours yesterday and then decided I'd try out the multiplayer.  I had the cloud save feature on at the time.  I was playing the multiplayer for about an hour when then when I exited to the main menu I noticed the load game option was missing.

I exited the game and relaunched to see if the option would come back and it did not.

Then i checked my c:\\users\\username\\documents\\bioware\\mass effect 3\\save\\ directory and everything was gone there, so I knew I was in for trouble.

I clicked the cloud button in Origin and noticed it had only 0.01  MB of 100 MB of save files, and I knew the games had to be bigger than that.  

I've also looked at the Origin data some and found a DownloadCache directory that it was using, but the files don't look like saves, although they match the date/time stamps of one of the previous times that the cloud save feature synced properly.

I'm wondering if there might be some way to convert these files into saves as they at least look like they might contain the data in some encoded fashion, and even if they are behind it would be better to get somewhere close to what I was than to start completely over and lose the full amount of time I had played...

I'm definitely leaving this horrible cloud save feature off in the future.  I was fine backing up my own saves when I upgraded PCs/etc. and this was a terrible experience.

i had the same thing happen to me i played multiplayer to get readyness up b4 last mission and now ive lost 10 hours of progress i 3 backup saves and all of them are gone except 1 which is around 9 hours in this is ridiculous.

ok so as soon as i posted this i had a look through origin clicked the cloud button on mass effect 3 and reverted my saves from local and it seems to have fixed it up to my latest save.

Sadly the revert button didn't do anything for me although it did tell me it reverted to 3/11 it didn't result in any saves appearing.

I wish someone who understood this EA cloud save thing could tell me if these files in DownloadCache could help me..
