Hello
I am very confused about the weapon bench...
When I open the bench you have 2 slots at the top and 3 slots at the
bottom. So far in the game (I am 4 hours in) Ive found several weapons
and addons/upgrades. But How do I equip my new weapons? I highlight them
and click on swap. But nothing happens etc
Are the bottom 3 slots showing whats currently equipped? 
How do I equip new weapons?
And when I press and hold my Right bumper and I get the action
wheel... No weapons that I have show up. So I am stuck with the default
weapons you got at the start of the game
Any help will be nice

Each slot is for a different weapon TYPE (i.e. pistols, shotguns, rifles). You select a slot and then you can cycle through the available weapons for that type and add mods.

At the beginning you may only have one weapon. Over the course of the game you can find and buy other ones

Click on the slot you want, then on the top right the weapon should be in a box with a number 2/5 for example. That means you have 5 of that type of gun. There should be arrows on the box where you can page side to side.

If you have mods for that particular type of weapon, Modify should show up. Same thing in the modify screen. Click on one of the mod boxes and you should have arrows on the box to page through the mods.

You may not have any of that type of weapon yet, or you may only have one of that type.


                     Sniper Rifle                    Assault Rifle

Sub Machine Gun           Shotgun                  Hand pistol

You can have 5 weapons, but be careful of weight. The heavier you are I think make something slower. Reload or recharge or something. I only carry 2.

So in general combat how do I switch weapons? theres no weapons to pick from in my action wheel...

Here's some shots from a save I have about 4 hours in. I had no SMG or Sniper rifles, only had one pistol and one shotgun. But I had 4 assault rifles.

When you bring up the Weapon Wheel, you have zero guns? Or like 1 gun to pick from?

That's usually overkill. As an Infiltrator I do fine with a pistol, assault rifle and sniper rifle. Depending on the play style the assault or the sniper rifle could be swapped with a shotgun for example.

Carrying too much will increase your cooldown timers which means you can use less powers. You can find lighter weapons and mods that make weapons lighter though, so sometimes it's possible to carry an additional one without impacting the weight limit much

When you click on a weapon slot, if you don't page over and pick a weapon, you won't have any of that type equipped even if you have a gun of that type.
