Wonder why the hell they decided to make all the endings the bad ending.
When this is all in motion, it's from the Game Developers end. If it didn't hit the mark, it was either scrapped, or it couldn't be made in time. (This is something the Publisher (EA) can really make a difference). My best bets is on that EA needed the game out (which is really odd tho, I'd guess they needed to take of this game like a newborn baby and cherish every moment of spent to make it worthwhile and an pleasant experience for everyone, and have a good ending- altho somewhat subjective, since you can't make everyone happy with their first initial ending, since it's the label of an end of a saga.
I know pushing games out prior to the actual intended deadline is common, and alot of material gets scrapped in the process. Dawn of War 2 is one prime example of what a game could have been, but what it turned out to be. Following it's expansions that came out every year, and every race that was added alongside, and how much material of VO and unit/abilities/etc went to waste was depressing- but I guess even harder for the game developers, since they're not really in control over the situation, because the publisher is the one pulling the strings on this one.
Game Developers do care about us, but when it comes to the involvement of Publishers, you're looking at something completely different, and they might not see the market and business the same as us, and we don't see it the same them. It's Ying and Yang, if that's an appropiate metaphor. Onfortunately, their a company, and the number #1 rule is really just to generate a profit, and they've probably exceeded on this end.

BTW: Don't You all feel ME3... Incomplete? Few planets we can visit. Only Citadel is explorable, handful of side quests, endings, not much NPCs, decision don't have any impact, LI... It' s a little bit like some beta not full game.

Wait the sec... If they'll relase ending dlc which I've to pay for... I swear I won't buy it. As well as any other Bioware game. End of game should be in game. If they'll learn tht they can make crappy endings and we'll pay for it... Well- gues what'll happen.
Now I'm in complete rock and hard place.
One hand.. want the damn ending dlc to cleanse my soul of the horrid ends we got
on the other hand this is neferious, low down and shady that makes me not want to buy em.

It would have been a lot more satisfying if the Normandy showed up and blew away Harbinger at the last second with the Thanix cannon.
Or if that wouldn't suffice, Joker overloading the Ezo core and crashing the Normandy into that damned thing...
ya this makes sense....
you guys remember that thermal pipe thing you had to get in one of the side quests? they said it would keep the core from venting into engineering if the normandy went into overdrive or whatever.
wow the pieces of the puzzle are coming together eh...
and I bet there was gonna be an epic battle for the Citadel in the end (remember the Citadel Defense Force?)
interesting

They cut THOSE possibilities in favour of the completely irrelevant garbage we actually got? With a release -this- big, time shouldn't be an issue. I want to play a finished game when it's finished; not an unfinished game with an earlier release date.

I'm with you. However, as i already bit the bullet and got the game, i'll choke back the bile the endings have made me puke up and endure all the dlc's for the game. I invested (well over) a thousand hours in the first 2 games and didn't mind the 3rd right up til the craptastic endings. Based on how this and DA2 have made me feel (like everything i have done in prequels was worthless because of the absolutely terrible endings) I have decided this is my last Bioware game.

What if they separated the finale so that all regions get it at once. so there are no end spoilers? Maybe they have something that epic planned. I dunno.
I can hope.

Here we go. Found it again. This is from the old script.
"Designer Cutscene:
Shepard comes to.
A handful of survivors from hammer, including Anderson and the henchmen, have gotten bogged down just a few dozen meters from the conduit and have dug in, but are dying quickly.
Suddenly, the Normandy streaks overhead, evading fire fromthe Reaper and blowing a hole in the Reaper enemies' lines.
Anderson shouts for Shepard to make a run for it, and orders the rest of Hammer to cover him."
The outcomes to this where as follows.
1: "Shepard and Anderson approach the conduit's beam. Shepard gets in, but Anderson is grabbed by a husk. Shepard turns to help, but before he can do anything, the beam activates, whisking Shepard away to the Citadel. On the other side, Shepard tears the metal from his leg and casts it aside, and then injects himself with Medigel."
2:"Shepard comes to. Anderson is dragging him forward. A jagged, bloody piece of metal is sticking out of his thigh. The conduit anchor retracts, stranding the henchmen. Shepard tries to walk, but his leg buckles. Anderson hands Shepard his pistol, and lifts Shepard's arm around his neck, supporting his leg. The two begin to shuffle towards the conduit beam."
3: "Designer Cutscene: Shepard limps to the conduit, and takes one final look around for other survivors. Seeing none, he enters the beam and is transported to the citadel."
4: "Shepard regains consciousness. He's bloody, and obviously badly injured. The Reaper is overhead, blasting away at retreating elements of Hammer. Shepard looks around: he's surrounded by burning vehicles and corpses, alone. He reaches for a syrette of medigel, but finds them broken or empty. Determined, he struggles to his feet, and starts limping towards the conduit."

Hate to burst your bubble, but that would make no sense at all from a business perspective.
The business right now is about preorders and day-one sales. i.e. getting the game sold to the customer, new, as soon as possible, so they don't buy it second-hand from GameStop. Why would you release a game with an intentionally crappy ending, let it get a bunch of bad word of mouth that could hurt sales, only to release a new, better ending long after its release in NA?
But then, I'd love for it to be true, as well. But right now, the more likely option would be that they planned for an "improved ending" DLC right from the beginning. Witness this and the extended Anderson death dialogue in another thread, and I'm starting to wonder.

Come on it doesn't make any sense. Thousands of people are pissed because of those ending, it seem like whole series conclusion have gone to hell- most of game would have to be remodelled to change ending- so it's hardly possible.
