If this comes out as DLC later then I just don't understand. . .how can all this be done on purpose?!

Why would they trick their customers like this?

This really is shaping up to be KOTOR 2.5

it does not make sence that the normandy was fleeing from the battle, they were allready in the mass effect grid when the death purge hit them

Found this... looks like Omega DLC ideas.

"A notorious Cerberus tactician orchestrating the Omega blockade crashes on a planet after being attacked by Aria's raiders. Aria wants to grill the tactician and asks you to retrieve her before Cerberus does. Your shuttle down to the planet is rocked by a missile: Cerberus has had time to establish a defensive perimeter. You are forced to make an emergency landing and must fight through patrols, traps and a deadly environment to get to the Cerberus ship. Once there, you are confronted by Zaeed: He's signed on again with Cerberus as the tactician's bodyguard, and is determined to fulfill his contract. After a fight you have a chance to either persuade the merc that he's on the wrong side or finish off Zaeed. Either way, you take the tactician back to Omega.</data>

Shepard was not even in the Citadel when this dialog was suppose to take place.

They believe in you.

Maybe you should have some faith in them. Afterall, they've got hints, teases, evidence and twitter posts to back some of the theory of more-endings to come.

It'd be only fair if the real ending was highlighted internationally at the same time. Nobody gets spoiled what really goes down and what happends.

Albeit, I bet that's just wishful thinking, but again... hope.

Agreed, the space/ground battle was still going on while the pulse fired (You can see Reapers and allied ships fighting while you talk to AstroBoy. And human soldiers shooting at husks.)

Your squadmates, EDI and Joker would never just abandon you. And there would be no reason for the Normandy to go anywhere. And the relay is behind Pluto, the Normandy was in Earth orbit. Dispite being one fast son-of-a-sputnik, the Normandy already being in-transit while the pulse hits seems extremely misplaced. Also how the heck did Garrus and Liara (My squadmates in the final) get on board that fast while there was a Reaper stomping around pewpewing stuff?  Image IPB

Wait the sec... If they'll relase ending dlc which I've to pay for... I swear I won't buy it. As well as any other Bioware game. End of game should be in game. If they'll learn tht they can make crappy endings and we'll pay for it... Well- gues what'll happen.

BTW: Don't You all feel ME3... Incomplete? Few planets we can visit. Only Citadel is explorable, handful of side quests, endings, not much NPCs, decision don't have any impact, LI... It' s a little bit like some beta not full game.

Yeah, totally agree with the second part.... Despite putting 30-ish hours into it it felt only half as long as ME2.<_<

"After the attack on Palavan, the Citadel is filled with panicked refugees. It only gets worse when an explosion destroys a major building and leaves dozens dead. You track down the culprit and learn that hanar religious extremists have sided with the Reapers. Commander Bailey places every hanar on the Citadel into internment camps for security reasons.

You discover the existence of a Reaper base within the Hanar systems."

WTF IS THIS... O.O

I wonder if that's what the Hanar diplomat mission turned into.

All because the battle was going on does not mean the Normandy couldn't swoop down to help Shep. And watch the space battle intro again ships went from the relay to Jupiter in 20 seconds and then got to earth in a another 30. It's all possible that the Normandy was damaged, and try to get to another System, but the relay stream was cut in mid transit and they landed where they landed.

Which if I remember correctly turned into you going to the Hanar / Drell homeworld (Same planet) with Kasumi and in order to save her / the planet you needed to save they Greybox from ME2. Why they cut it, I don't know. I was really looking forward to it.

It would have been a lot more satisfying if the Normandy showed up and blew away Harbinger at the last second with the Thanix cannon.

Or if that wouldn't suffice, Joker overloading the Ezo core and crashing the Normandy into that damned thing...

ya this makes sense....

you guys remember that thermal pipe thing you had to get in one of the side quests? they said it would keep the core from venting into engineering if the normandy went into overdrive or whatever.

Yeah seriously, I thought that would come into play at the end. Like it would be similar to the ME2 ending level where you see the consquences of doing or not doing something.

No it's something that dude told me to google... anunassumingfolder.

I assume it's some sort of leak or a beta folder that got saved. I found something else about the Prothean and Catalyst but I'm hesitant to post it.... It kinda flips the ending on it's head >.>. I'm sure it's just an old idea for the Prothean DLC maybe.

I am a very skeptical person, so I am taking everything I read here with a grain of salt. However, if this is all true, then BioWare really did want to milk us for as much money as possible. I think all these cut missions will be added back via DLC. So, we will end up paying alot more for content that was originally in the game. So after they release all the "new" story missions (which don't f***ing matter anyway, thanks to the ending), the game will end up costing around 100 dollars. Wow, yup, if that happens I won't ever touch another BioWare or EA game.

From what I'm reading... this is not full on data/scripted stuff it seems more like notes and ideas? I'm not sure what it all really is but it is definitely some form of notations for the game.

"You have been told about a downed turian warship on Tuchanka, disabled by a Reaper in the battle with the Reapers over the planet. Crash-landed on Tuchanka's rough terrain, it is surrounded by Reaper ground enemies and running low on ammunition and supplies. One of the commandos on the ground is the SON OF THE TURIAN PRIMARCH featured in Genophage Mission One.

Landing behind enemy lines, you surprise attack from behind-- decimating key targets along the way.

After the rescue is complete, the TURIAN COMMANDER receives an update to his mission from the TURIAN PRIMARCH-"My son is a failure and an embarrassment, kill him." Shepard is now faced with a tense diplomatic situation and a difficult decision.

You are then asked to support a platoon or turian commandoes set to recover a turian doomsday device.
</data>"

Ok ya, a lot of this must be a bit dated. There is still interesting stuff though. Was obviously changed a little.

Why did they cut so much?

Hanar homeworld would have been amazing. Imagine a water planet with some of the most beloved and unique species in the game, with pockets of breathable 'Drell stations'.

Landing and actually aiding in the 'Retake Palaven' movement. Hell, Shepard could've done it. Just slap on a helmet and we don't have to worry about radiation. Instead, we get the moon? Of the Turians? A favorite species?

Imagine lifting Elcor off from their crazy-gravity homeworld. Awesome.

I feel like the pace was intense (not a bad thing --- in fact, extremely appropriate in some regards), but I felt like we barely scratched the surface of most planets and quests. It was extremely short. Although there was a lot of good to this game, the only fully 'complete' plot thread was Tuchunka, which was brilliant. And I think Rannoch was also excellent, but perhaps introduced a little too late.

Edit:  Additionally, while the haste is understandable because millions literally do die every minute we waste, we are constantly told throughout the series that complete galactic extinction takes hundreds of years.  It wouldn't have been unforgivable to add more hub worlds/locations and more exploration.  The mystery of Mass Effect could have been so easily returned in this game.  All of the stories from reading descriptions on planets is a lost opportunity.  Imagine it, there were so many mysteries (which should not have all been resolved, hence the mystery) but at least utilized to a further extent.

For example, the crucible being a project added upon in each new cycle was so exciting.  But evenetually, it became less and less about the Reapers.  It became more about Cerberus.  And I am sick of Cerberus.

This makes me curious as to what else can be found in the game folders that was cut. Perhaps there's a way to save Mordin, and still cure the genophage. Maybe there are files to support Thane surviving? Maybe there's files supporting an elongated beginning, where we actually learn who James is... :\\

the game is already pretty big and exxxxxxxxxxxxxxtremely detailed...it might not seem like it....but there's probably a couple dozen ways this game can feel while playing it through because of the past choices in the previous two games.

adding massive content like that would've made it to big.

p.s. you being sick of cerberus? That's the point :P

Oh, don't get me wrong, I agree with you.  But I feel like the focus and narrative changed.  It was better, for the most part, but I'm voicing my disappointment given how nicely the opportunity could have been used.

I think the whole Cerberus issue was a little repetitive but overall well done.  I just felt like the importance of the reapers was vastly minimized from eldritch godmachines of unfathomable power but yet still mortal in a sense....to this whole crazy Cerberus/catalyst/starchild nonsense, the latter of which almost completely contradicts everything we've ever learned.  We get only one real conversation with a reaper.  Just one.  I was hoping we'd have more to do with them.
