Non-romanced Liara final scene question *spoilers*

The scene I mean is in London. Liara says she has a gift for Shep and asks to close her eyes. When Shep does so, Liara's eyes go black (like in romance scene) and we get a moment of stars in darkness, and Liara puts her head on Shep's shoulder.
And after the scene is over, Liara says "thanks for everything". And no gift was given at all.
So, does it mean my Shep will get some blue children despite her romance with Garrus and decision to adopt a little krogan? If so, I'm not amused. Being brainraped by a person you considered a friend is not a good thing.
And unwanted children are NOT a gift.<_<

No. She explained the whole thing, similar situation like in ME1. It had nothing to do with getting little blue children.Babe Mause wrote...
So, did Liara just procreated with my femShep without her conscent?

I wondered the same thing, especially since the memory shared wasn't really explained by Liara.. I was expecting something with an impact... like a happy childhood thing about Benezia maybe. But ultimately I just shook it off.

Well, I wouldn't put it past BW to try and rectify players' mistake of choosing wrong LI.
If in future ME media we encounter Liara-Shep child even if we didn't romance her, they can always point us to this scene and say "you merged minds with her, and such things can get asari pregnant".

It was a moment of respite. Or a "quantum of solace" if you will.
I'd rather see less ambiguous scene. Maybe some real good memory instead of stars in the darkness and Liara's head on Shep's shoulder.

Exchange of memories. It had nothing to do with making kids.Babe Mause wrote...
What did she explain? I didn't ask her what was the gift. My Shep trusted Liara enough not to ask. And afterwards there was not a chance to ask WTF was that.

I too expected some childhood memory, especially after the Citadel talk that happened for me after Shepard and Kaidan got together.

If there was an actual memory, it would be nice(didn't even have to render a new scene, just add some flashback from previous games!) and sweet and friendly indeed..
But laying her head on myShep shoulder in romantic dark-with-stars nowhere? That's a bit too much. I never get a chance to hug Tali, EDI, Jack, Miri, Ash or other non-romanced female friends. Why suddenly Liara gets so close?
This scene really made me feel like Liara took the last chance to show Shepard that she always had feelings for her or something like that.

I just thought that it just showed that they are really close friends. Not in romantic way. It was a good scene in my opinion and it did not feel like she is trying to hit Shepard at all.
That's pretty much how I took it too. It was the ultimate way for Liara to express how much of a friend Shepard is to her. That's what I hoped it was about at the time anyway.

While I understand why EDI might me excluded, I don't know why I get all that semi-romantic scene with Liara and Tali just salutes Shepard, even though in the first game my Shep talked to Tali waaay more than to Liara.
First, I didn't understand why I have to drag this helpless blue child along after she read Shep's mind and fulfilled her purpose. It would be safer for her not to go with Shep. Also, any dialog with Liara somehow ended up as romance, so I finally decided not to talk to Liara at all aside from those scenes where is was necessary by the script. Thus, what friendship are you talking about? They spoke twice, and that's all.
In the second game Tali was aboard the Normandy despite all the things Cerberus did to quarians, while Liara was doing her own thing, and it was perfect depiction of relationships of my Shep and Liara. They are friendly enough to help each other out, but not before their own things, and that's all.
My Shep wouldn't put Liara above Gaby and Ken, Engineer Adams, or Captain Bailey. As for LotSB, Shep was just returning the favour (Liara saved Shep's life, so helping to take down Shadow Broker was the least she could do).
And all of sudden Liara gets this intimate last scene with Shep while Tali gets just a salute. In final flashback she is more important to my Shep than Garrus. Why? The only way I can think of that she somehow imprinted her image to Shep's mind, so instead of Garrus Shep would see Liara.
That's why this scene is so wrong to me. My Shep is NOT a close friend of Liara.
But it shows how much BW cares about our Sheps. I wish they just stopped pretending and released the book "Shepard", same as of Revan, writing out all custom Shepards and their LIs forever and establishing one canon Shepard.
It would be more honest than current situation when they keep pretending we have a choice, but in the end they put Liara as the most important person in Shepard's life no matter what >.<

And yes, I got Aethyta calling my Shep Liara's 'Cerberus girlfriend', and I was not given a chance to say that it is not true:( Which just supported my idea that Liara is obsessed with Shepard and makes up stories about them, and Aethyta thought those stories were true.
Good thing it didn't screw over romance with Garrus.

I'm thinking I should probably shut up now.......aside from those two beautiful moments with Liara, I am raging at the ramming Liara down our throats with a pole driver and RPG?...What RPG?....My Renegon Shep was horrible to her in ME1, but come ME2, we all know what happens there, as for ME3, I'm loathe to take him through....My Paragon I can RPG him to fit....my Renegon and Paragade, with what they have done to Liara, I can't RPG them with the forced love in's with Liara....My heart also goes out to those who chose other LI's, I don't think anybody was meant to, thats the feeling I get anyway...ME wasn't Sheps story, it was Liara and Sheps story apparently.
Yup, Liara everywhere.
I'm pissed by the fact that she is the only one naked.

I wish allowing to put her head on the shoulder was paragon interrupt or something so it would allow some players not to take it. Like Javik handshake or hugging Anderson. None of those friendships were forced on you.Why Liara is an exception?

I can completely understand why some people would have preferred an interrupt for it though.
