[Klaustrophobia]

I've recently re-installed Mass Effect on my new win7 PC.  I have the steam version if that makes a difference.  Everything works fine for the most part, other than a few graphical anomalies with various effects just BARELY showing up if you look really hard.  The only one I care about really is the blue bullet trails.  I thought at first they were gone completely, but if I fire the assault rifle against a very dark background I can just barely make them out.  I've tried changing all the standard graphics options to no avail, and a somewhat brief perusal through the .ini's didn't find anything that looked promising.  Anyone know how to fix this?
