In mine, I renegade shot Illusive Man, then chillaxed with Anderson until he died. Crucible stuff happened, and chose the middle light (Didn't really see anything else TO do?). Reapers turned greenish and backed off, then everything started being affected by the green blast. Normandy flies off, gets sucked in, then Joker + my two squadmates (EDI and Garrus) walked off into greenness. (Had a full rep bar with all Paragon, bar one notch of Renegade)

Is this the sort of ending that happens to everyone? I've googled around and all I can find are angry fans. Can someone please clarify for me if there are any different endings we can get and what they are etc?

(I get the impression that every painstaking decision I made, all of my paragon renegade options, and rallying species into war was pointless, but please correct me if this is the case, I WANT TO BE PROVED WRONG.)

the ending essentially depends on your war assests and which path you take at the end (theres three)

There are two different endings then that. The reapers either turn red or blue, and you may or may not breathe once depending on how ready you were.

That's the jist I got.

Yeah, its the same ending, except sometimes the light is blue or red instead of green.

To clarify, nothing you do really matters, since Shepard is either killed or permanently separated from the people he loves.

Well, when they turn "blue", like greens ending, they float away.
"red" makes them actually fall to the ground, most likely dead for good.
Only other differences is the bigben falling or not.
Two soldiers cheering, standing there, or die due to the explosion.
Your crew surviving or not.
That's the only difference in the endings.
"Green" makes it so that at th end everyone has green glow on them...and the soldiers no matter what just stand there and don't cheer.

:| I loved the game. Really really loved it. Just didn't feel satisfied with the end, though I suppose it is an end, and Buzz Aldrin voicing something made me smile a bit. But...
Has anyone ever watched the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion? The way I felt for that ending is the way I'm feeling for this. The journey was awesome, but the ending?
