Apparently we are all Kathy Bates for actually wanting an ending that makes some kind of sense.

I've never found Kotaku to be a particularly intelligent site anyway, doesn't surprise me.

He hasn't finished it, I can guarantee that. And besides, I don't think anyone is "demanding" a changed ending-- more so pleading, begging, and groveling is more like it. Anyone seen OldBoy? The scene where he cuts off his tongue in front of that guy? That's us. Just if we can get a new ending....

Not demanding where I come from...

Adorable. "How unhappy people choose to be"...as if the endings satisfied us but we have nothing better to do than think otherwise.

Amuses me.

His article is partly true. Your petition really doesn't mean anything. How do you think an author or a director would feel if a bunch of angry people (much less than the amount of people who paid to see the movie, read the book or buy the game) petitioned him/her to change the end of THEIR story? They'd tell YOU to EFF right off. But a lot of you are wearing blinders right now. Logic isn't going to be found here for at least 2-3 weeks.

Most aren't even asking for a change, most would gladly pay for an DLC. Me included.

What right does someone have to demand changes to the end of a story
they did not write—and as this would, assuredly, be released as
downloadable content—expect all of that labor for free? Because they'll
refuse to endorse a product they've already bought?

Uh what? They'll refuse to buy future products from the same franchise/company, this isn't exactly hard to understand.

Normally I might have agreed with him, even though most games "Journalists" have no credibility.

This is different though. Since ME1 bioware has been selling us on our choices having an impact in the final game, and that the ending we get will reflect those choices. What we got instead was an ending the made all of our choices moot.

I call false advertising. The games I paid $100+ for are not what bioware/EA said I would get.

I'm not asking them to change the ending. I'm asking them to give us the ending we paid for!

I'm surprised this "movement" is even getting bumped to Forbes and Kotaku. That alone is an achievement.

It's pretty widespread over the internet where this game can be brought up. Even tvtropes became dissappoint in it

Bottom line, what that guy say is bull. If people are very dissatisfied with a companies product, and they don't get restitution, what happens ? " those customers quit buying anymore products from that company, which in turn hurts their bottom line more than giving away a free DLC or patch to improve the end story.

if you want your voice heard louder got to my blog which I have a link too in my Sig , click on my ME3 review and click on the links to my polls.

1. would you Boycott Bioware if they don't fix the endings
2. do you believe Multiplayer should have no impact on the single player campaign
3. Facebook Campaign demand better endings for ME3

Again, Mass Effect was developed and marketed as a product where you choose your own story

You can't do that and then argue that as an artist you can choose an ending that doesn't even fit with what was established as possible outcomes before.

It would be acceptable in a game like Halo where "what you see is what you get". Mass Effect was working according to a "what you choose is what you receive," model.

You do realize you fell right into the author's trap, right? They write garbage trashing the majority so that same majority goes to their website to see what all the fuss is about. They don't care if they have BAD publicity, every page view is money in their pockets. If you want to show us what they said, take a screenshot and upload it to imgur, don't link DIRECTLY TO THE ARTICLE AND GIVE THEM MORE AD REVENUE.

If you want to send them Paper, too come this way:

Honestly do not see why asking and petitioning is a problem. We have not threatened physical violence or any harassment in any way. We have been asking, and saying we will not buy any DLC unless the endings are chacged.

The changed fallout 3's ending, and they are fixing the witcher 2's ending. I do not think it is too much to ask whent he majority of your fan base is not happy. The endings really are that bad. I find it strange that major gaming sites are saying the fan base is being stupid, while minor ones that do not get support from EA are saying the fans have a right to be mad.

It's like I said in another thread:
It's Kotaku. What do you expect?
Their stance on games change like the wind..or whoever is footing the bill.
I've seen articles on there outraged over DLC characters being locked on fighting game discs, and then articles supporting such practices.

He's only ignorant because he doesn't agree with you heh.

No.

And you're ignorant for assuming you know the reason behind what I post.

He missed the point completely. Ignored every plothole and pretty much proved that he's a crap writer.

But there's no use in reasoning with a troll.
