The only problem with people who are complaining is that some of them don't realize that Bioware is probably doing this intentionally. Think of everything thats happened in the ME universe, combine it with the devs tweeting messages like "if only you guys knew what we are planning" seems to mean that for whatever reason, the ending we got is not the real ending. Sovereign in the first game says his kind is independent, each one a nation. It therefore makes little sense for them to be controlled by a single entity doesn't it?

I could easily see it become a BG type ending, where an expansion explains what happened, but until then, I have to accept the ending for what it is(an ending).

True actually...when I played BG2, I played it with the expansion and I completely forgot what I considered "the ending" to BG2 was actually the ending of the expansion!

Same with Diablo 2.

I think this is fair enough of a response, to be honest. He's a writer and he thinks we're attacking the writers - of course he'll band together with them sight unseen. That being said, I'm not - and I don't think any of us are - attacking the writers. For me, Bioware has the very best writers of any video game company. This game is the best written game I've played. That's why I'm so disappointed in the ending and why I want more - because I believe in the writers of the game, and because I know how good they are. Not because I think they're bad.

He sounds like I did when I finished the game. "No, this CAN'T be the ending. haha, I'm sure they got something up their sleeve. Some kind of secret ending or something. Ha...ha...nooo..god, no....this CAN'T be the ending!"

Even if he's right, the "true" ending would be DLC a.k.a. "$$$", wouldnt it?

Kotaku is ran by Gawker. It is essentially tabloids for video games. I'm not even just saying that because I hated the ending. I say that because Kotaku has always been crap. They **** and moan about everything video game related more than any other "game" new site I've ever seen. Like a regular tabloid does about celebrities and the sort.

The fact that he didnt even discuss WHY he liked the ending or even discused why it was acceptable is a cop-out when you are calling out a group of people with a specific problem and then never really address teh problem.  But ya, no need to bash him maybe, but critiquing what he said, imo, is fair game.

It's okay to disagree, but you don't have to be a condescending jerk about it, calling the opinion of thousands of people "amusing".

Well that's the difference between first-class journalist and the third-class.

Kotaku. Oh right, they're the ones who accused people of being sexist.

He didn't just not agree with us, but subtly he is calling us and our attempts at getting something down silly and worthless.

Kotaku is a sh*t site full of snide a*sholes, rumors, and faulty information. It's unreliable.

So, it's safe to say that serious gamers in the know don't  take it seriously.

I agree that online petitions are worthless.

But I never signed one, and I think the ending should be changed.

Is your mind blown, Kotaku writer?

Ya, never signed a petition, never demanded DLC ending, and never said they have to do what I want.

BUT, I will keep critiquing the ending until they either explain why it made sense to them(still might even critique it after this), it was a BG2 type ending(It's a dream/DLC to flesh it out completely), or they decide to reboot the ending. Etiher way, unless it was a dream or they do a time travel DLC to fix things, I dont see how they can possible continue the franchise beyond Shep.

Dude you can't pull out "it's only a game" after defending its artistic merit and the creativity of the writers.

I find it strange that major gaming sites are saying the fan base is being stupid, while minor ones that do not get support from EA are saying the fans have a right to be mad.

You know, somehow I don't think you find it strange at all. And neither do I.

Someone dis agrees with you! It must be an EA conspiracy!

Kotaku shouldn't be taken seriously about anything.  They're terrible at what they do, and have been for as long as I've known that they exist.  Destructoid, however, should be taken seriously and they weren't the nicest about it either.

It's fracking Kotaku, that should say enough.

I haven't blessed that site with a page view in over 2 years.

p.s. thanks for the screenshot so I can continue not blessing them with page views.
