But hey who knows I might hate the ending too and be right along side you guys. Time will tell.

The real ME fans, at least. Not the casuals who buy a game and return it 2 days later after they beat it.

Secondly, this is Shepard's story, which has been the primary selling point of the entire franchise: in other words, the player's choices influence the narrative, and the same was promised in 3. It's not about simply wanting them to literally change the endings to please them, but offering a tangible sense of variety that goes beyond the superficial variables of the story's conclusion and actually gives player choice true meaning. This was promised, and based on the available evidence, we certainly didn't get this.

Yeah I did. I played ME 2 as well. I started with a default character, and I was nonetheless moved by the game, which I've noted before, especially in respect to Mordin, Grunt, and Anderson. Kai Leng is someone I was finally glad to see as well. Unfortunately, I have two EA accounts, and couldn't access the old one my original profile was linked to. It's been Hell - literally - trying to get them merged so that I can, but for now, I'm stuck in these forums and ME 2 ones. All EA's been doing lately is redirecting you in an infinite loophole.

No, the endings are not fine for me at all. I think having one ending where everything goes to hell is fine, but having all three end up virtually the same way is a horrible way to end the series. I don't think that fans have the right to demand anything more than an explanation, or at least an acknowledgement from devs that we are heard. Ultimately, this is Bioware's game, and they can do whatever they want with it. It doesn't mean we have to like it, as most of us don't.
I don't think anybody is demanding (and if they are, that's a bad way to go about it). What we're doing is making our opinions heard. And no, Bioware doesn't have to do anything about it. But taking constructive criticism from your consumer base is just smart business, particularly if the majority of that consumer base is united in certain opinions.

The inability to register ME3 is a fairly widespread problem. My roommate is among those who is having difficulty because his Origin account refuses to merge with his BSN account. Somehow one got accidentally registered to his school and not personal email. I would keep the guard-dogging to a minimum, people. You come off as incredibly articulate. I respect that a great deal, but while this may be a "first world problem" I find that irrelevant. Look at the forum in which this is being discussed.
We have all purchased some form of none essential electronic entertainment with our disposable income. This is the place to discuss such things.
Comparing our outrage with Bioware to, lets say, the ethnic cleansing in the Sudan is a low blow. Of course the ethnic cleansing is more important, but if you need to resort to such comparisons to drive your point home then perhaps you should be doing something more meaningful and leave the rest of us to our tawdry and callow pursuits.

I don't know what Kotaku was reading, but it was apparently the wrong stuff.
I remember many threads asking how many people would pay for a better ending or an epilogue. That is not demanding Bioware to change the game. Its just asking for something extra.
Just because we want a conclusion to the series doesn't mean Bioware loses face. Matter of fact, all they have to gain is revenue. A small expansion or conclusion similar to Origins with a dlc is not uncharted territory for Bioware, and its not a sign of giving in to raging customers. Furthermore, it wouldn't change the current ending.
Sure, there are those that have come in here and vent or rage, but when have people not been here venting and raging? Does this common day event somehow make the request from paying customers illegitimate?
