People who have played ME3: HOLY BALLS THAT ENDING WAS BAD SOMEBODY FIX THIS

I'd say 95% of us think the game is amazing.

The ending needs tweaks.

I honestly thought everyone was exaggerating. Boy was i wrong.

Same here.  I was defending the endings right up until I played the game.  I was all, "oh guys, don't worry--it only looks bad on paper, and there's a lot of meaning and depth behind it."

LOL NOPE

I feel kinda dumb now, tbh.

Sounds familiar.

I was enjoying the hell out of the game for the most part, short of a few weak points in the plot and gameplay.

Then I get to the final 15 minutes and watch the entire franchise go down in flames with what is no doubt the single worst ending to a videogame series I've ever seen.

I will not be the last to think so.

The great irony, the thing the historians will be talking about and arguing over and thinking conspiracies were involved over, was that I was freaking out more than you were and I ended up more OK with the endings than you.

Oh yeah, the game was pretty damn sweet.  It was just as good as if not better than the previous two games.

Until the last five minutes, that is.

Oh you guys should totally take the "hold the line" spiel and modify it for your cause, I think that would be pretty awesome. :P

Well, I certainly don't want to be pwned in the face by a chicken pie! Turkey, possibly. Beef, no way. Chicken? Absolutely not.

Yeah Kotaku was pretty much lambasting you guys. And to be honest I'm inclined to agree with him. I have not beaten the game personally yet so I don't know if the rage is justified or just because of ridiculously high expectations. It just seems that demanding a massive change to the end of a series because it didn't satisfy you seems a little.....self-entitled to be honest. But hey who knows I might hate the ending too and be right along side you guys. Time will tell.

Totally agree with that

there's nothing wrong with the endings and one of them actually managed to make me cry (well almost)

seems people wanted to see an old shep with kids living in a big house as Liara serves him the food.

See the problem I have with these statement by BW is that they keep forgetting that they do answer to the consumer. For some reason, probably major success, they think just throwing a rug over the complaints is acceptable.

As a company, you supply goods that are in demand by the public/consumer. If the consumer complains about your product, obviously it's not wanted or maybe it's wanted but not the way it came out. The companies then has an option to either address the problem. Doing so would probably mean they will continue to have their goods purchased by the public thus keeping their product in market, job security etc. Or ignore the public, hope that the product can still make it in the open market and/or cash out. Now I know BW would like to keep raking in the money, so you would ASSUME that they would at least acknowledge their target groups concerns or hope they can ride out this PR disaster and still sell their products with the same numbers.

I just want to say, look at how the devel from homefront ended. I'm sure a less can be learned.
I know all about the pressures of the publisher and at some point you have to figure out is it worth it. Hell as part of the devel you have to do your research and you KNOW how people feel about EA, so you can't turn a blind eye to all the crap that comes with it if you allow them to publish your product.

What's funny is that the authors of the articles that are condescending the fanbase have NEVER played Mass Effect. So who are they to judge? Did they spend hundreds of hours making decisions that felt hard and sometimes gut-wrenching only to find that none of it mattered? Did they spend extra time in MP to get 100% readiness and scour the galaxy for hidden crap and do tons of side-missions to only get slapped in the face?

Nope. They just condescend...

The game is perfect and i hope the ending does not put people off what i loved is the tone starts to change from signs of hope and maybe a chance of winning which quickly descends to rapidly dminishing hope and desperation.

It's quite scary.

You would think I would be glad that I actually understand and Like the endings but no, I'm an Altruist and the fact everyone else isn't enjoying it sucks the fun right out of the game.

Keep the pressure on. Just because I don't fall into Cheez's "HOLY BALLS THAT WAS BAD SOMEBODY FIX THIS" category despite having played and beaten the game doesn't mean I think the endings are good as-is. I look forward to seeing what you can do if you work together. I know it sounds cliche, cheesy. But as someone who has taken a headstrong approach in several successful fan campaigns I am certifiable proof that they do succeed. Sometimes.

You need lots of luck. But you can't pull it off without skill too.

I just tripled my respect for you.

And I'd like to add that I'm kinda in the same boat, yes.
