personally? I would wait the months it would take to make a new ending. I've waited for Arrival. I've waited for Mass Effect 3 itself, with the 3 months release delay. for a satisfying conclusion to series I fell in love with? I'll wait. I would actually prefer to wait and get something high quality with VO's brought back in (and would pay 10 bucks for it if I had to - and yes, it can be done for 10 bucks. after all - this is what they did with Legacy and Mark of the assasin), then get a hastily slapped together scrolling text.

I don't want a better ending right this second. but I would like for it to happen in a forseeable future.

I defended the endings until i saw them aswell...
It brings tears to my eyes, how can Bioware do something like this after i saw Genophage arc, Quarian/ Geth war and etc...
I mean dialogue between Mordin and Shepard (before Mordin goes in the tower) is oscar worthy aswell as Thane's death scene. Then when we come to The Catalyst and realize why every decision and love for ME is ruined right at that moment.

Also quoting jeweledleah

"I don't want a better ending right this second. but I would like for it to happen in a forseeable future"

Acting entitled, huh?

As a consumer, the only legitimate things I can do to express my distaste for this game are by stating publicly that I was not at all happy with it. By getting a refund for my game to show I mean it and by refusing to purchase any other products from the company who made it. The first two of which I've already done, the later is obviously ongoing.

The problem is now out of my hands and I want nothing more to do with any of it.

Generally speaking, two of my least favorite storytelling devices is expository conversations or dialogue and retconning of longstanding facts or presumed factual information pertaining to significant plotholes; however, I would not only be content to deal with this if it meant assuaging the problem with the endings but I would gladly even pay for it. I support the movement!

I usually hate retcons too, but this is one of the very few cases where it might be for the better.

From some of the things I've read so far, they may not even have to retcon at all, just expand on it.

"The Mass Effect fans aren't acting entitled. They aren't asking for the ending they deserve, they're asking for one Mass Effect deserves."

Anyone ever consider that while this is the end of Shepard's saga in Mass Effect, it's not for Mass Effect itself?

The movement is in woeful denial, as this is not as simple as rewriting the end of an e-book. I look at the logistics required for such an overhaul and it just makes the shrill screaming even more facepalm inducing. Anything short of paid DLC will not give people what they want, and even then I figure that the best people can hope for is an "Epilogue" DLC of some sort.

Either way, it's pathetic for people to live in a perpetual state of want for something that is almost certainly not going to happen.

If Bioware put out new endings that pretty much retconned the old ones, that would generate a bigger whiplash upon them then now.

There are fans that liked the endings too, you know.

As much as you guys don't like the endings, as much as you don't like the direction that the Bioware team took with their story, I don't think it's fair to call on them to disregard their endings and want new ones - nobody should be forced to change their magnum opus, because it's their story.

Stick to your guns, Bioware. Stephen King did with The Dark Tower. Don't change your story - it is what it is. You guys accomplished something great with Mass Effect 3.

adding more endings= a bad thing to people who liked the endings?
Why?
Aint like theres only one true end.

If it's DLC, then those who liked the original endings can just skip it. Everybo- okay most people will be happy.

- What I find ironic is that a lot of the people who hate EA and DLC on this forum just gave them another way to make more money off of us.  Holy s***, they hate the ending of ME3 more than they do EA.

PiEMan, you say that now, like many of us have. But when you actually BEAT the game all that hope and optimism? A total 180. Like another poster said, it's like seeing your family get butchered then being forced to eat the remains. Everything you've done with your Shep will have been for nought. It strongly contradicts Soveriegn, Harbinger, Retribution, Ascension, Revelation, ME2, and most of all, itself.

To use a tired phrase, life is never fair. I could point out that having spent over $200 on Mass Effect between the games and dlc, that receiving an ending this weak wasn't "fair". But I'm not asking them to change it because it's fair. I'm asking them to change it because I think the ending is crap and because I have money willing to be invested in altering what was otherwise an enjoyable trilogy.

If enough people were to voice such a concern, there's no way a new ending dlc wouldn't be produced. The problem (unfortunately) comes down to the "enough people".

I would go for a new DLC, even if it took a few months. Though my topic just got locked for "spoilers", so I'm probably not good to talk about how I dislike the current endings. I'd go for a new DLC.

Just completed the ending a few minutes ago, after checking other forums for similar feelings.

1) Fought tooth and nail to broker a peace between the Geth and Quarians. Only to have the Deus Ex Machina (Bioware's child god) tell me it's not possible. That it will always end in war. No self-respecting writer resorts to a deus ex machina.

2) Rumors of the "Shepard" taking a living breath at the end of the RED ending can be confirmed by my replay of the final choice.... but... uh... I just got 6000+ war assets leading up to this weekend. And played multiplayer until the galactic readiness was at 100%. And that's it?

I don't care that much that Shepard can die and leave his love interest behind.
I don't really care that much that each ending choice had strings attached to each of them - all actions have their consequences.
But the victories the players achieved through single player and multiplayer are SHOT DOWN in the ending.

Give me one good reason I should continue the multiplayer at all after a debacle like this.

I don't see what's so bad about ADDING (Keyword, A-D-D-I-N-G) additional endings for those of us who want something logical and tasteful. It's not affecting you in any way. You're not getting your precious ending snatched from you, it is simply something to be ADDED.

Must be the same crowd who hates the idea of a software patch enabling all PS3s' backwards compatibility.

I personally don't even care how they want to spin it. They could advertise it DarkSpawn Chronicles style.

Imagine that the Reapers harvest organics to prevent dark energy from spreading? Take control of Commander Shepard as he fights Harbinger in this alternate universe of ME3.

Ending/endings sucked. After nearly 200 hours of game play in Mass Effect 1,2, and 3 I can and will say I feel ripped off. And I can say, I will not  consider purchasing any further games from Bioware.
