'Change the Endings' Campaign Getting Mainstream Attention!

There are now over 28,000 voters in the hard-to-find poll about the ending. Still only 2% think the ending is fine as it is. Two percent!!! I can assure you the poll is not a representation of the entire population of Mass Effect 3 purchasers, but even so, the probability that a majority of the entire population liking the ending is zero.
It doesn't matter from a business perspective why the users don't like the ending. What matters is the NUMBER of users that don't like the ending.
Statistically speaking, there is no way the majority of Mass Effect 3 game owners like the ending. The sample size is too large now. That's no bueno.
Fans are disappointed. Their discontent has flooded into almost every thread in every forum. The people that oppose changing the endings get completely overwhelmed by people that want to do something about it. Look at how fast this thread grew and look at the ratio of posters that don't like the endings to those that do. Look at the user reviews in the spoiler section.
And most people haven't even finished the game yet.
How many people have you cautioned against playing Mass Effect 3? Word of mouth is dangerous.
Now other sites have mentioned the problem - including those mentioned in the first post and those scattered throughout this thread. Even Wikipedia mentions it.
On Amazon, the average review for the PC version of the game has dropped to 2 out of 5 stars. That's hard to do too since the game started around 4.5 out of 5 stars.
BioWare should address the endings.

I have to admit that all of this is true, with my AP Stats background I can say right now, that it is pretty much impossible with the data given on the poll that even 20% like the ending... To prove this, I could run a hypothisis test when I get the free time today... (Null Hypothisis being that the % of fans that like the ending is... 15% or 20%)

Fact is we aren't in a position to demand anything from BW, nor do we want to. But as fans of a company that is supposed to look out for feedback, we are making use of this to get the ending that Mass Effect and its fans deserve. It has not received that with ME3 and we want to let the developers know as even though this ending MIGHT have been their envisioning, they put the product out there for players to enjoy. If players aren't enjoying it, they need to know.
Deserve? DESERVE?
Just WTF do you people think you deserve?
Yes, I know the writign is bad in many places and the plot makes 0 sense. But you can't just re-write that easily, since the plot is integrated trough the entire game.
IF you're talkinag about JUST the ending not being to your liking (the result) then you have no grounds to stand on. ME is a story. The writers decided on the endings. There are no happy rainbow endings. So what?
I see people ranting and complainign because they don't get their wish-fulfillment ending with their waifus/manfus. Well frak that. Such an ending doesn't make a game/story "good". Dramatic/sad endings don't make the story "bad".
I don't mind Bio killing off characters. Heck, let them kill of everyone and let that be the ONLY ending. It would STILL not be a bad ending. It would just be one you don't personally like.
But alas, too many people don't see the difference between "I dont' like this" and "it is bad".
BioWare is in no way required to make an ending you will "love". BioWare doesn't owe you anything. You don't "deserve" anything. So you whinebags tone it down and realise just how much you look like spoiled little brats.
technically, in this case, they lied to us.
They said the ending would incorporate every decision from our previous games and this one, thats decisions from 3 games, in epic ending..............the ending is the same no matter what.
we were clearly lied to, and this was false advertisement.

I'm tired of people that don't know anything about statistics dismissing the results of the poll stating the size is too small. We're not talking about thousands of disappointed fans. We're talkng about millions. Or at least over a million.

Well, I've liked the end of The Sopranos, hated the end of Matrix and never watched Lost so I think I'll get some mixed feelings from the ending. lol
I can't wait to get out of work to start playing the game.

I do hope the writers change the endings..and make them more darker....make your LI's suffer a slow and agonizing death.
@Astrogenesis:
- vast majority complans about not having a happy ending (happy subject to their personal definition, but it usually means Shep and LI together)
- small minority complains about the nonsense of the catalyst and things not making sense.
Wrong on both accounts.
The majority of the complaints are also about the catalyst, and no the majority is not about wanting a 'happy' ending necessarily, just an ending that makes sense, although the OPTION of having a happy ending would also please a lot of people.
Most of us want endings that can be ADDED instead of replaced.
{{SPOILER}}
But also most of us want to erase that BS conversation with the catalyst (Casper the Friendly Ghost).

It is.
To really drive the point... I showed my wife the ending to Mass Effect after giving her synopsis of the
whole trilogy; she never played the games and thought the ending seemed
rushed. Then suddenly she says, "...that reminds me of the Matrix for some reason". She drew the similarity, not me.
My wife (then girlfriend) and I saw the Matrix Revelations in theatres. We watched the trilogy from the first. She loathes that ending because to her, it seems like people went out of their way to be martyrs. "Neo was this all powerful figure, so how did it end like that? It was for good reason I guess, but whatever!", she'd say. She doesn't watch the trilogy at all anymore to this day.
Coincidence?
