Why I believe Wynne to be the Best Companion Ever

The other companions sometimes hit upon this as well, but in general none were able to master it and bring it alive like Wynne.
I probably could never attempt a playthrough that excludes/kills her or gains her disapproval because I would miss the interaction too much.

What's even more annoying is she's practically imperative for any good party.

Everything she says.. just ugh. I hate people like her. Wanna-be wise and intelligent when everything she says is just stupid.

Not true, I'm playing through with a 3 rogue party + Sten (2h warrior) at the moment, and you should see how fast a room clears with that many bombs (mostly these) and traps being thrown around. Lol!

Of course, I had Zev in my party, too. And then I was proven wrong.

I find her a little annoying, since I don't care for the Chantry, but she has a certain dignity about her that makes her easier to accept. The whole abomination angle does make her somewhat interesting but the game doesn't do much with it. I also think she's the only female companion that you would want to associate with, given the alternatives of the insane and hypocritical Leliana and sociopathic Morrigan.

Wynne: "Do you really want to be beaten by an old woman?"
(Darkspawn watches in petrified form as a stone fist shatters him, killing him in one hit)
What a relief it was to find her as I first played through on nightmare mode (yes her healing did keep me alive Lord Phoebus). I'll go to the Circle Tower first on every consequent playthrough!

haha, that is a good way of putting it. Yeah, maybe if I didn't have Wynne to talk to, the second game would start out with my PC sitting in a shrinks office or something.

Wynne has a funny in-combat line.

she's even more awesome when you spec her Arcane Warrior and she gets finishing moves on, say, an ogre... old woman in blood dragon plate with a sword leaping up onto a monster and stabbing it repeatedly = AWESOME.
